Over a 2 and a half year period, Carlos and Sharon Viela and their company Africote have consistantly made promises they haven't kept, provided no service at all and failed to fix a waterproofing problem that they caused. I engaged Africote to waterproof and seal a concrete slab [my upstairs verandah]. it took 6 months to get the job done after I had paid and a further 2 years have passed where they have taken no responsibility for the mess that they caused by removing existing [working] waterproofing. When a head office representative came from Johannesburg to see what all the fuss was about, Carlos quickly changed his tune and promised to fix the problems. Since then very little has been done and no actual sealer applied, despite me contacting them almost weekly to remind them. They have come up with more excuses than you would believe and I have the emails to prove the whole saga. I will be engaging legal help now. Avoid this company like the plague! You may get flashy promises but I guarantee it will all end badly for you. Please contact me for more info!!
Thank you Peter and Pool Services for a job well done the first time. This seems to be a rarity in any service orientated industry. Thank you also for going above and beyond and coming to my rescue so timeously when another contractor let me down. I am forever grateful and will sing your praises to anyone who will listen!
A few years ago Scotts Pool Services [SPS] regrouted my pool. They issued a letter of guarantee that they would regrout the pool again if their workmanship didn't hold up. It didn't! I called Scott back 3 weeks ago. He told me to let the level drop and then he would regrout the pool when I called him. I called him and he said he could only come regrout in 5 days. Due to many, many excuses it has been over 2 weeks and my pool is turning green as I cannot run the motor with the water level so low. Scott has consistently avoided contacting me and has been a no-show for the last week. Avoid this company! I evenutually got another contractor in today who is registered by the NSPI, he told me he is constantly placating and fixing problems for Scotts old customers.
I have been trying to cancel a contract I bought for my son over 2 years ago. I am completely within my rights to cancel the contract after 2 years. Mtn \Customer SERVICE"keep emailing me asking for different information - including my pin!! - and refuse to just cancel the contract"
