I was almost ****med by the poetrysale.shop website. It looks exactly the same as the legit Poetry website and is offering 80% off. What I find to be very bad is that Poetry is doing nothing about this. I went to their social media pages and I could not find any warning to customers about this **** page. Are they even trying to get it closed down? Seems like they don't care.
Our complex employed Rolfe Kopp to damp proof and repaint some of our internal and external walls in 2023. He carried out the work and gave us a 10 year guarantee on the work. A few months after carrying out the work, the paint started bubbling and peeling. Rolfe's guys came back and redid the job. Less than a year later, the same thing started happening again and Rolfe's guys came back and have redone the internal walls, however when I informed Rolfe that the external walls are peeling now too, less than two years after he completed the job, I stopped hearing from him and cannot contact him. He does not answer my phone calls and he does not respond to my messages. This has been an EXTREMELY frustrating situation; it is ridiculous that our walls started peeling less than a year after Rolfe supposedly implemented a damp proofing solution. Furthermore, it is even more ridiculous that it is happening again and that Rolfe will not take responsibility and honour the 10 year guarantee that he gave us and is written on the invoice. For these reasons, I would obviously NOT recommend using Rolfe on any of your projects.
We went for dinner at Fishmonger Illovo, which we really enjoyed. On leaving, my father was ****** of his cellphone as he was waiting for his uber outside. He went back into Fishmonger for assistance and the manager and waiters were so lovely and helpful, especially a waiter named Ice. He gave my dad his cellphone so that he could make calls to cancel his simcard etc. He did not mind my father using his airtime at all. I really want to commend them, especially Ice, for their kind assistance.
I ordered biscuits from Kelly, the owner of Pretty Baked Cookie Creations and collected them on Friday 05 July 2024. I did not enjoy dealing with Kelly at all and found her to be rude and unaccommodating. I left a Hello Peter review detailing my negative experience with her. Kelly reacted by finding out where I work and she left a negative review on Hello Peter for my employer, using a **** profile which she created. Furthermore, Kelly also has a **** Facebook profile, under the name Gamieda Desai, which she used to write a negative review on my employer's Facebook page as well as leave defamatory remarks about myself under a photo of me which appeared on my employer’s page. Neither myself nor my employer have ever done any work for Kelly, but Kelly stated that the company is ‘delayed with communication and does not fulfill deadlines.’ The only other review written by ‘Gamieda Desai’ is, surprise surprise, a positive review for Kelly’s own business, Pretty Baked Cookie Creations! It was therefore very easy to link her to the **** profile. (So not only does she leave **** negative reviews for others, she also leaves positive **** reviews for her own business!) My employer has never, in almost 40 years, received a negative review, but received two in the days following my negative review of Pretty Baked Cookie Creations on Hello Peter. This is not a coincidence; both of these negative reviews were left by Kelly, even though she has never used the services of the company, as a way of getting to me. They don’t only contain completely fabricated information, but they are also defamatory and my employer is considering their legal options against Kelly. Think twice before ordering from Pretty Baked Cookie Creations otherwise you may also become a victim of Kelly's devious behaviour!
I had a really bad experience with Kelly from Pretty Baked Cookie Creations. I ordered some biscuits about 5 weeks before my daughter's birthday. Kelly told me that I could only collect at 5PM on the evening before the party, even when I inquired if I could come earlier. 5PM, on a Friday, the night before the party, is obviously very inconvenient, especially when you consider that I have a baby and the traffic is terrible at that time too. I asked Kelly if I could collect in the morning, but the time she offered was too close to the party so that wasn't an option. I rushed there as she then said she was going to leave the biscuits on the pavement or in the postbox but it wouldn't be her problem if they went missing. She then sent me a barrage of rude messages telling me she would not be making biscuits for me again (like I would consider it!). She has a terrible attitude and is super unaccommodating. I genuinely have not dealt with a service provider like her before.
App**** for maternity UIF in November last year and got paid out in January this year. Two months! Excellent service from Gertrude, thanks so much!
I had a pedicure at this beauty salon. I assume the lady who attended to me was the owner. She made a remark about shortening my treatment as I was late, which is fair. She however managed to pierce my skin in two places, which led to bleeding and subsequently scabs. It was painful at the time and still is. She was clearly upset that I was late so it has left me wondering whether it was on purpose. I am not sure how she would have made the same mistake twice. I will not be going back.
I had an average experience with Priority Escapes. Our flight was cancelled and they put us on another flight without telling us - I was the one who noticed and contacted them... they should have contacted us immediately and discussed our options. Also, Priority blamed Air Seychelles for the cancellation but Priority charters the flights, so my feeling is that it wasn't Air Seychelles cancelling, it was Priority but they did not want to take the blame. They had locked us in, as we had paid, so they didn't care that they were messing up our holiday by changing the dates. Unfortunately we also had an underwhelming consultant. She was either incompetent or disinterested, but either way, she didn't respond to my emails and I had to keep contacting her manager to get a response which was very frustrating.
Dr JJ van den Berg is a very nice guy. Unfortunately I have been severely ripped off both times I have visited his practice. I recently visited as I thought that my wire retainer had broken, and wanted to get a quote for it to be repaired to compare to other practitioners. I had a 3 minute discussion with the Dr who had a look and informed me that it had not broken and I did not need to do anything. I was absolutely shocked when I was charged R550 for this quote, especially as I was a returning patient. I will never return.
