Bad claims service and breach of financial act obligations I have a damaged cellphone claim which I submitted on the 4th of December for damages that occurred in the same day; and to date nothing has happened because Nedbank Insurance does not want to process my claim for December month because my November month premium is unpaid - yet my December month premium is paid. Insurance is month to month - yet they want me to pay “arrears” first. I have requested them to either process my claim or decline it and send me the letter stating the reason for the decline in writing but this has not happened. I have escalated this matter to their complaints department - where I was advised of a 20 day turn around time. Patiently waiting to see how this pans out. I would like to see what the Financial Ombudsman has to say in response to this
Payments still not received after matter that I escalated to the ombudsman was overturned and paid. I was advised payment was made on 14 May 2025. Today is the 23rd and no funds No one is responding to my requests
I have a 12month loan with Finchoice which has been paid by Nedbank in April 2022. Proof of payment was sent to Finchoice and Nedbank even confirmed with FNB (who is the bank that Finchoice banks with) that the funds have cleared in Finchoice account but they keep on saying that they did not receive the funds even though proof of payment has been sent to them numerous times. I have been paying both Finchoice and Nedbank for 2 months now and Finchoice just denies receiving the funds. I have no idea who - but someone is not being ethical here.
