Ordered an AMT frypan from Avo (which lived up to all its reviews) but alas the handle attachment became faulty and the pan almost unusable. Spoke to Avo's "assistant" via their website. Within the day, Avo spoke to the supplier who asked me to submit some photos of the pan. They, in turn, sent me a replacement free of charge. Kudos to both Avo and the supplier for a speedy and satisfactory conclusion.
First time I've used these guys. Very impressed with the range of goods available; well-designed website; speedy delivery service with very securely packaged goods; and up-to-date tracking all the way. Certainly will use them again!
Since when was it a good idea to create and execute a marketing campaign with the most repetitive and boring radio commercials? For that alone, I would not even consider Pineapple as my insurer.
What is wrong with their login methodologies? Some time ago, after logging in, their web site asked for the card number/password associated with the account. Fair enough. But whatever I entered was rejected. Had to visit a branch which sorted it out. Now, a few weeks later, the identical card/password issue occurred despite me using the SB branch solution. In addition, an error message occurred on the SB website that stated the banking credentials on iOS phone SB app did not match the internet banking version. What now!? As for scanning in the QR code with the phone's camera, forget it, a 404 page appears every time. Whilst I appreciate that security features are very important, but please coders, stick to one fool-proof login script and methodology, without changing it willy-nilly much to the frustration of your clients.
First order was fulfilled satisfactory. But alas, further two orders were cancelled due to the supplier being out of stock. There was no notification from Avo about this, and only discovered this by accessing the site again and tracing the reference numbers. 'Your order has been cancelled." Should an item not be available to purchase then the website should either not display the item or advise that it is sold out prior to completion of the sale. Most frustrating!
One is a little wary of ordering goods from a website for the first time (especially when one is used to ordering from Takealot, Yuppiechef etc..) But plunged in, ordered an Amazon product and held my breath. But very pleasantly surprised by an almost immediate tracking number sent to me, and it arrived two days later. (Very impressed with its very competitive price too.) Will certainly shop there again.
Had a slow leak in one of the tyres so went to this store in Noordhoek, Sun Valley. Promptly served. They removed the tyre from its rim but alas could find no reason for the slow leak, but replaced the valve, balanced the wheel, spruced the other tyres, checked air pressure all round and checked the torque on each wheel nut. All for no charge. Amazing service!
