I spoke to Paul and all I can say is Santam is the best in the game. Paul was patient, and took me through the quote of adding another vehicle on my car, I will never look back with Santam, I’m a happy client?
So I receive an email from Vodacom (draft summon), where I’m being threaten to be handed over to debt collection agency if I don’t pay what I owe them. The letter says I have an outstanding subscription balance, what the hell is that??? I finished my contract and paid every single cent that was required on my contract, so what is balance of subscription when my number was converted to prepaid long again and there was no balance due from me, as a matter of fact I paid Vodacom at extra R7,20 on the last month of my contract sometime in April, now they in November they coming to claim that I owe. And as usual, their customer care is HORRIBLE!! When I called, the lady can’t explain and wants to transfer me to someone, when she eventually does transfer me, the person answers and drops, really, I must call again and explain the story to another person who will transfer me to another person again, only for them to drop the call!!! I need to actually port this number to another provider cause I’m gatvol with Vodacom!!
I made an online order:OD435081095487466100 Immediately after I called Makro to tell them the delivery address I had selected was wrong, it was an old address, and the person I spoke to said they will send for the address to be amended. That was not done cause I started getting messages that delivery is scheduled. I called again and they cancelled only 1 item, the rest of the items were never cancelled! The driver called me to make a delivery of the heater, I did not answer, he got access into the estate, went to deliver without getting my permission that he can deliver while the code did not even come from me! I asked him same time to go back and collect the item, he ignored me! I have sent screen shots to the tweeter team who promised to look at the issue, 4 weeks later no issue has been looked at! ****mers!!
Vodacom insurance is hell!! I really wish I could change it but it’s too late cause it’s over 2 years since this insurance has been running and there’s no other insurer that can insurer an old phone!! 1. My number 0837166742 has been on contract and so insurance was billed through the contract, my contract ended at the end of May, on the 3rd June I updated insurance to prepaid. On the 25th May, I paid my bill which also included the insurance. Now on the 26th June I’m double debited, and I’m told Vodacom charges a pro rata and also a full premium, does that make sense or this agent Molemo was not listening during training! Why would you bill a pro rata from the 3rd June to 30th and a full premium for the same month??? 2. My number +27 (71) 678-6536 was also converted to prepaid some time in 2024, and a few months ago, they cancelled it without anyone having requested for the cancellation, they reinstated it and now it was also double billed, for what??? Who said they must cancel it? So is Vodacom trying to make money with this **** of billing pro rata and full premium for the same month? Does Molemo even understand what pro rata means? If you gonna charge me from the 3rd to the 30th June as pro rata, the other full premium for the same month was to cover for what else??? You charge for a full month again when I didn’t even start the insurance from the start of the month? What a joke!! The debit bounced for this number +27 (71) 678-6536 because I had no idea they were on some double debit ****s, the account had enough money to cover both premiums not double debits!! Please fix this, refund the double payment you charged, debit the correct amount for the other number!!!
I will write the review again because this proves what I have said. How do you remove a review saying I’ve already done one, which was over 2 months ago and not related to what I’m complaining about NOW, so I’m supposed to go to the same review that you have confirmed you have handled and state issues not related to it?? I’m surely going to the body that governs yall to lay a formal complaint! How am I sending queries and you not replying but replying to other people right in my eyes and you find that okay? I pay discovery and don’t get your services for free, what kind of unfairness are you playing!
So I have been sending countless messages on their tweeter DM’s asking them to assist with something I cannot understand, they are replying to EVERYONE who’s tweeting them on their timeline and even saying “we have rep**** to your DM” but simply ignoring me! What is this????? I’ve never been so disappointed I pay a LOT of money for their medical aid and vitality, then they wanna behave like I get free services from them and they only reply to people who make them rich.
What an insurer!!! I was told by my brother to go with them because they don’t give issues when you claim, well I took the risk but to be honest the only time you really able to tell if indeed there’s never any issues on claims is when you have your own claim, wow blown away!! I didn’t even hesitate to insure my new car before they even paid out my claim. I love being insured with them!! I will never turn back! If you here looking for a sign wether to insure with Santam or not, I’ll tell you this for free, run to them! You’ll never regret!!
Vodacom is such an arrogant company and one day they will fall because many customers will get tired of them!! I sent an email to the insurance team to cancel a policy, I’ve sent more than 10 emails and no one replies, policy isn’t getting cancelled cause I did get debited! Please can you do the right thing, I’m also going to send ICASA and show them proof that all you do is keep taking our monies and your are very ungovernable and don’t offer the service that we pay for!!
So far, Santam has really been good with my claim, it hasn’t been finalised yet but really I’m happy with the way they keep communication! Also Julinda has been great, really everyone so far has been good, I have no doubts that this claim will go smoothly and I will soon be coming to write another review of how happy I was with the whole process from start to end.
So a certain provider clearly told us that she does not accept medical aid and that we pay directly to her then claim back from our medical aid, and we did do. She sent us the invoice and we loaded the claim on the app only for discovery to pay the same person that has told us that she does not accept direct medical aid. I was told “it’s the system that automatically does this” what kind of a systems is that, that allows patients to claim on behalf of providers??? Why would I log a claim for a provider? Why does the system not know the providers that do not take medical aid?? Right now I’m seating with an inconvenience and discovery is not even sorry at all. In the past I was able to claim for the same provider then they changed the system to be in a such a way that it allows patients to claim on behalf of the dr’s and providers. What kind of an upgrade is that??? I need to know how discovery is gonna make sure this will not happen anymore because I will still use this provider over and over again!!!
