Nicholas Beresford, the Principal of Knightsbridge Properties, accepted the full commission from a commercial sale and agreed to pay out the relevant commissions to the agencies and agents involved in the transaction. (Nick Beresford had absolutely no involvement in the sale whatsoever.) Once the monies were in his Trust Account, he adamantly refused to pay out any commissions to the individuals involved, completely reneging on his agreement which he made at a meeting with one of the Principals involved in the deal and his attorney. Nicholas Beresford retains the full commission to this date. BDK, his attorneys, claim that my statement is “baseless and unfounded”. BUT it is completely accurate and true. I have proof to support all statements made. Nick still owes me R78,000 commission from the sale. A question: Are these the actions of an honest and ethical individual?? Would you have dealings with such a company??
I posted a statement about Nicholas Beresford on Hellopeter. Everything I stated regarding his actions and behaviour were absolutely true and accurate. But I was contacted by his attorneys, BDK Attorneys, and told to remove my statement on Hellopeter as it was defamatory and if I didn’t do so, they would take me to High Court. I sought advice from a legal colleague and was informed that I am perfectly entitled to make personal statements on this platform that are a valid and authentic. I am fully within my rights to make a complaint about the service and conduct of an individual. I was pressurised and threatened with a High Court action to delete my post/statement regarding Nick Beresford by his attorneys, BDK. This does not alter the fact that he retained the full commission from a sale (R390,000) after agreeing to share out the commissions before the monies were deposited into the Knightsbridge Trust Account. I must point out that Nick Beresford had absolutely no personal involvement in this sale but he made R390,000 from other people’s work! Once the monies were in his Trust account, he refused to pay the individuals involved in the sale and still refuses to pay out the commissions. Nick Beresford is the Principal of Knightsbridge Properties. Is this the behaviour of an “honest” person? Would you do business with this individual?

I need to issue a warning against dealing with Nicholas Beresford, the Principal of Knightsbridge Properties. Nicholas Beresford stole nearly R100,000 from me and refuses to pay it over. A commercial sale was completed in 2022 which involved two other agencies, an agent from Knightsbridge properties and two brokers. The total commission for the transaction was R390,000 and this amount was duly paid into the Knightsbridge Properties Trust Account by the conveyancing attorneys handling the transaction. (Proof can be provided). At a meeting held with a Principal of one of the agencies involved and their attorney, Nicholas Beresford agreed to transfer the relevant funds/commission due to the five entities involved in the sale once the monies had been deposited into his Trust Account by the conveyancing attorneys. Since this time, Nicholas Beresford has consistently and adamantly refused to pay out the commission due to the respective entities involved in the commercial transaction. He has kept/****** my full commission of nearly R100,000 and R290,00 from the other individuals involved in the sale. One of the agencies involved is now taking Nicholas Beresford to court. BE VERY CAREFUL WHEN DOING DEALS WITH NICK BERESFORD OF KNIGHTSBRIDGE PROPERTIES.
This is yet another complaint re COOL IDEAS. They have no ethics or business management or client services. I signed up with them in April and cancelled the contract immediately because they were useless. Took them 9 days to get my fibre up and running and then they wanted to overcharge me! So in cancelling my contract I got an email acknowledging this fact and informing me that my Cool Ideas fibre would cease on 30th June. They have already taken my line away! And ITS NOT the 30th of the month. So they asked me at the beginning to pay an extra 2 days even though I had no fibre. Do you think they will reimburse me for the 2/3 days they have charged me for but taken my wi fi away?? They have to be the most useless fibre company in South Africa! DO NOT sign up with Cool Ideas. There are plenty of other efficient and cheaper options out there.
Cool Ideas has to have the worst customer service for every department. I joined a month ago and cancelled a month later. They took 9-10 days to connect me to the Internet and then overcharged me by two days. They would not amend their Invoice as they said that it the fault of Vumatel and not theirs that I still had no Internet! So they wanted me to pay even though I had no Internet. Their customer service is appalling. I work from home so seriously impacted my business and my phone bill !!!!! They kept suspending my account once up and running as I told them they had to amend my Invoice and not charge me for the extra two days I had no internet. I paid my May account and then they suspended me again today. This is about the fifth time! But I had to pay the April account but they suspended me so now had to go out to find wi fi to pay via my phone as couldnt use laptop due to suspension of my account. COOL IDEAS obviously dont need new customers as their service is absolutely disgusting. DONT JOIN COOL IDEAS. USE ANOTHER PROVIDER. THEY ARE ALSO EXPENSIVE.
I would just like to share my experience with Opel. I have bought Opel cars since moving into South Africa. In 2007 I bought an Opel Astra Essentia. It did not occur to me to check whether it had a temperature gauge as I thought all cars had one. NOT OPEL!! Since I have had my Opel it has blown the head gasket three times as the red light only comes on when there is absolutely no water in the car. A little late!!! This Opel has cost me thousands in fixing the blown gaskets and all related issues. NEVER BUY OPEL!!!!! All Opel do is apologise and that is it! No form of compensation whatsoever. Would you drive a car with no petrol gauge and wait for the red light? OPEL SUCKS BIG TIME and always used to be a big fan. One extremely dissatisfied customer.
We ordered a set of headphones on Monday for delivery to Douglasdale. Received an email yesterday to say they had tried to deliver but there was no one home. But we had received NO phone call from them. I phoned CourierIT yesterday afternoon to see what was happening. So they said they would deliver this afternoon between 3 an 4pm. Now we get yet another email to say that they could not deliver this morning but there was someone home all morning! Again NO phone call from CourierIT. I tried phoning this morning but after waiting on the phone for over 5 minutes still no joy. If anyone wants to courier anything anywhere, I would highly suggest they do NOT use CourierIT. Use any other courier if you want to receive your goods. One extremely dissatisfied customer.
People should be aware of the fact that AFFINITY HEALTH are exceptionally bad at imparting relevant information to prospective clients or existing clients! So with this lockdown, I was finally informed that I could obtain relief for my premium subscription due to earning no income for the last 4 months. So I send in my request with the requisite letter from my employer the following day. They phone me today, 2 June 2020, to inform me that my request has been approved but only from July as my request came in too late! But I sent in all required information the following day of their phone call! Luckily we are now allowed to work so hopefully I will earn in June (I earn on commission basis) so will need relief for July 2020. Why are the Medical Aids and Insurance so useless in this country. Now I must look for another Medical Aid/Insurance company as this is the second time Affinity have failed to impart information. NOT GOOD ENOUGH.
