DO not buy anything at Gelmar and then want to return it as this could turn out to be a nightmare. I bought kitchen kickplates but they were the wrong size, returned them the next day. Once I said I want to return these items the dagger looks indicated I was in for a rough time. The person attending to me started finding fault with the item, and eventually I conceded as it was possible from tying down the items it could have got damaged, obviously a very inferior product if tying down can cause damage. So I accepted that the one kickplate is for my loss. Then the person finds a small chip in the one corner of another kickplate and says they not accepting this one neither, clearly the chip was there when I bought the item. To prevent a even bigger argument the manager was called and I must say he was even worse to deal with, it was his way and no other way, eventually after much arguing he said he would deduct 15% off and the item was placed back on the shelf, the next person just like me is going to get a damaged item. The smirk on the managers face was clear that I will never ever support or buy another item from Gelmar.
I would not recommend anyone entering into an agreement with SACHI and IPI. I entered into a contract dated 29 November 2022. The contract was in the name of IPI a division of The South African Carbon and Energy Exchange (Pty) Ltd. The enterprise number was reflected in the contract. (in the process of liquidation). I have had problems with SACHI and IPI and in an email from SACHI the MD stated and I quote "Its not … in fact with over 30 people starting module 1 every 45 days , Im not interested whether you associate speed with success, I’m not your life coach and frankly we have no interest in your success or failure" Had I known that I would have to deal with this type of outlook I would never have considered SACHI. I started doing further research and came across a site regarding The South African Carbon and Energy Exchange (Pty) Ltd. According to this site they are in the process of liquidation. The reason given is deregistration due to annual return non compliance. The last update on this site was recent being 26 December 2022. This in simple terms means that I entered into a contract when they were already in the process of deregistration. The site can be viewed to confirm the above by going to the following site. https://b2bhint.com/en/company/za/the-south-african-carbon-energy-exchange--K2019233385
I bought a franchise from IPI for R15000, Signed the contract and paid over the money. This was subject to completing 5 modules in a 8 week period full time or part time created by IPI. I was advised that the modules were simple and could easily be completed in the 8 week period on a part time basis. I advised IPI that I could only do it part time as I had to continue working before transitioning into working as a property inspector. My mistake was that I did not know what was involved with each module as well as not being advise of the full facts by IPI. Module 1 was simple enough. Module 2 was to join InterNACHI which is the only internationally recognized group who issue an international qualification for Home Inspectors. I did the exam and failed, the pass rate is 80%. The only way to pass is to complete and do 15 courses which are complicated as well as write an exam on each one with a pass rate of 80%. This is time consuming, a'lot of study work and preparation necessary in order to pass the final exam achieving 80% or more. It took me about 3.5 months to complete. I sent the certification to IPI who responded and said that I had absconded. IPI also said that this module 2 course was designed to take 2 weeks and not 3.5 months and that the "rules are strict". So in other words I have lost my R15000 franchise fee. It is unreasonable for anyone with no experience to complete 15 courses, study and successfully write a final exam of 15 courses in 60 minutes and answer 120 questions in a 2 week period. As the saying goes if its to good to be true then it usually is and in this case it really is. I would highly recommend that anyone else wanting to purchase a franchise from IPI think twice about it. Do your homework and contact other companies selling franchises, you will learn a lot from them in respect of IPI.
Battery Pro Johannesburg South do not honor battery guarantees. What they do is find excuses in order not to have a claim against them. I had the battery checked and was advised that the battery was no holding its charge. I contacted the Johannesburg South Branch and was advised to bring in the battery to have it tested and if it was faulty that it would then be replaced under the warranty. I was contacted and advised that the battery did not hold its charge and that I must come in for the replacement battery as the warranty would be honored. Upon arrival I was then advised that the charging rate for my alternator was a bit low and therefore they would not be honoring the guarantee. I took the vehicle to my usual mechanic, he checked it with a multi-metre and advised that it was charging over 14 amps. I also checked the battery with my multi-metre and it was charging over 14 amps. At Battery Pro I revved the vehicle and it would go over 14 amps and then varied with the lowest been around 13.4 amps. They want a minimum charge of 13.8 amps. I made an arrangement that once I got home would take a video clip of the vehicle charging over 14 amps, I took 2 videos and sent it to them proving that there was nothing wrong with my vehicle. This is clearly a case where their warranty is not worth the paper it is written on. The quality of their batteries is questionable as this battery did not even last 9 months of the 2 year warranty.
I was contacted by Niclole Carstens a client care executive who was extremely rude and abrupt and threatened me with legal action for so called slander. She kept referring to discussions with management and decisions that they had taken, this type of bully tactics is unacceptable and this is how this company deals with the members/public then I have no regrets whatsoever wanting nothing to do with them. People beware when dealing with this company, you can expect this type of unprofessional and uncalled for behaviour.
I have belonged to an organisation that is absolutely terrible and a complete rip off, all they want is money and more money, no communication for years or invoices sent for affiliation fees and suddenly they wake up and want piles of money for absolutely nothing. You can get better deals from searching the internet and from Hyperli, so what is the point of this organisation when it is not worth the paper it has been written on, and the loss of my initial payment which could have been used better elsewhere, complete waste of time and money. People beware, rather stay away, best advise when it comes to this organisation.

Our alarm went off one night, the alarm company did not respond at all. I contacted them the next morning whereby an operator advised me that they did get an alarm notification. I then spoke to Deniz who advised that they would investigate and revert back to me and come check out my premisis. They ofcourse did not come back to me, I however did receive an account for R558-60. The invoice is for the call out to reprogram pgn on alarm panel, which was clearly not necessary at all. Previous to this we had a problem whereby the radio was replaced, the owner refuses to accept this explanation and has been extremely abrupt and insists payment of the invoice even though his very own staff have confirmed that the problem was the radio replacement. After many emails of the owners insistance that I give him his 30 days notice, I cancelled with immidiate effect. He has advised that amounts are due and as such I must pay or litigation will be put into place. Here is a poorly run company whereby money is all that counts to this owner and he refuses to accept the truth in the matter. This company has a monopoly in the area and as such think that they can treat customers in this manner, I would recommend that other companies rather be approached for a more professional service.
