When your new VW product leaves you stranded, you are on your own. My wife's T-Cross has done 3000km when all warning lights lit up, including the oil pressure light (!), and the car lost revs and all power. Three weeks later, and the dealer is still not able to resolve the issue... This is a brand new car, and the defect is due to a manufacturing fault. I have no confidence in the car anymore, and do not want to take the risk of allowing my wife to travel alone in it. It is therefore only fair to expect VWSA to replace this car with a new one. However, VWSA has the typical Big Brother Corporate vs Little Joe Soap attitude. They apply the letter of the contract and do not want to acknowledge that this is an extraordinary problem that justifies extraordinary measures, irrespective of what the contract says. In the meantime we are the ones to endure the inconvenience, and we are the ones who have to hope that they will eventually find the problem and trust that the solution is a permanent one. Bottomline: VW is not a brand to be recommended. You simply cannot be worse off with any other brand, so rather look elsewhere when considering a new car.
My new Explora decoder does not receive any Box-office titles even two weeks after installation. Three different calls to the call centre got me three different responses. So much for consistency and staff training.....

I then get told to bring the decoder in for testing. I am working full day and do not have time for this. And besides, it is not my problem if they sell such poor quality hardware.

After requesting that the supervisor Llewellyn Salani call me back, nothing of course happened. Should have guessed that.

Multichoice just want your monthly instalments - they don't care about customer satisfaction. It's about time their monopoly is broken!
SOS Lifestyle AV did my DSTV Explora installation this week.

They were friendly, efficient and more than willing to help when I experienced sound problems with my second and third TV sets in the house. They did two additional call-outs after hours with no hassle and fixed the problem. They delivered on each of their promises.

This is exceptional service that one is not accustomed to lately! Great going guys, keep this up you will go a long way!
We bought a set of expensive hard case Delsey suitcases at Frasers a few years ago. They were claimed to have a 10-year guarantee. South African Airways politely broke one of the 4 wheels off the suitcase, and of course refused to accept responsibility.

I am perfectly happy to pay for the repairs and to wait as long as it takes. But I was told by very unwilling personnel, including the manager at Fraser's luggage in Tygervalley centre, that it is not possible to repair the case. Although it is in perfectly good order and well cared for, I need to get rid of it and buy a new one. A four-wheel hard case with just 3 wheels is pretty useless.....

Fraser's just shifted the blame and said Delsey cannot repair it. They are just interested in a new sale.

It is time that customers should be made aware that if a wheel of a Delsey case gets broken off, which apparently is a common occurrence given the way airways handle luggage, you're on your own...

Fortunately one has other future options than Delsey or Fraser's.
