Bought tickets for the SA20 game this weekend. They took my money but no tickets in the wallet. Sent 7 emails, tried to call the number which doesn’t exist, and the chat bot on their website is disabled. They stole the money, didn’t give tickets and cannot talk to them. ******** organisation. SA20 should get a new partner not these *****sters
I bought a new phone and reinstalled the FNB app. It didnt take my password on the first try so I used the app transfer option by scanning the QR code to transfer it to the new device. It worked and I could setup everything. I then found that my online banking and FNB card are completely deactivated. I went to the branch for help, as per usual they stated that due to Covid there is not a 2 to 4 hour queue to see someone. I tried to call in but they only work during office hours, and the wait can be 30 minutes or longer because of Covid. I then tried to use the app. The chat person insisted I had deactivated my card and profile even though I was logged into the app and speaking to her on the app. I also have a picture of the card on the app and the card says ACTIVE, but you cannot upload pictures in the uploads option to prove it as they have deactivated the upload option. So now I have to go stand in my 4 to 6 hour queue to hopefully get the card reactivated. I just feel people need to be aware of how far FNB is behind the rest of the banking sector with Apps and customer service, and if you do have a problem your wait times in branches can be a very very long time....
Quick to take your premiums, even quicker to reject your claims no matter the circumstances. The technician said that the pump failed and could not determine the cause, Santam decided not to pay as they deemed it wear and tear and rejected the claim. Change insurance company today, you won't be sorry...

I bought some PC components a while ago, and I was WARNED by serveral people who have bought from Takealot not to buy any electronic items and Takelot service is shocking and they dont honor warranties. When the motherboard went faulty, I sent it back to them and they came back and said there wwas physical damage. There was no damage when I sent it in. After this they became dismissive and rude. On researching on sites like Facebook and Hellopeter it turns out that MANY MANY customers experience the same thing. Of course they have a standard copy paste reply for EVERYONE, that they are sorry for the problem etc etc. They will copy paste the same reply here, probably not even reading this post. Aside from all their other poor levels of service, they also claim many repairs are physical damage when its simply is not. Tell ALL your friends, tell everyone you know to beware.

I purchased a new PC motherbaord from Takealot and returned it under warranty, as it had failed. I was warned to make sure there was no damage to the board before shipping, as Takealot have a reputation for rejecting legitimate warranty claims for physical damage. I checked along with two collegues and found no damage and returned the goods in perfect order. Weeks later they reverted back to me and said that there was physical damage to the board. Not only that, but after rejecting the warranty they TWICE called me early on a sunday morning to find out if the replacement was to my satisfaction. When I told them they hadnt replaced it they called me a liar, only to investigate and apologise for their mistake later. Please dont be fooled by pricing at Takealot, you will have to pay double when they refuse after sales service later

I bought a pc motherboard from Takealot, after being warned not to by so many people as they are notorious for rejecting items still under warranty. By it was cheaper than my local store so I bought it anyway. It later went faulty and I returned it for a warranty repair. I knew that Takealot often reject repairs so I had witnesses carefully check the board for damage and there was none. After ages of waiting the board was returned to me with physical damage! Takealot blame their supplier who won't deal with the public. They have been arrogant and incompetent in their communication with me. Luckily I have been able to take to Facebook, Twitter and Hellopeter and I am able to warn consumers weekly of this issue, I have probably saved over 1000 people from making a bad retail choice already, and I hope to save 1000s more. Dont be stupid like I was, listen to the public and heed the warnings about the warranty and after sales service. Buy from a reliable store that won't let you down!
So Takealot offer practically no after sales service. I bought PC goods from them in good Faith, and they refuse to honour the warranty. They also messed up all correspondence and admit that they are poor. However, the most infuriating thing is their responses to complaints, they keep saying that they will forward me the incorrect suppliers assessment, but then arrogantly say they deem the matter closed. The problem is I will be the one who decides when this matter is deemed closed. I have already caused thousands of people to buy from more reputable retailers, and I will make sure thousands more avoid Takealots poor service. Yes, they can deem this matter closed till the cows come home, but I am Taking a lot of time and effort to ensure no other consumes get the same service I did.
So I had a bad service issue with Takealot where I had an item under warranty. It was returned to them for repairs, they then blamed the supplier of bad service and refused to take it up on my behalf after promising SEVERAL times that they would. Then they told me that they were awesome because they had actually organised a swap out, but when I told them this was not the case they apologized, said they messed up AGAIN, but werent interested in doing the right thing. This happened TWICE. They even had the audacity to fight with me saying that I was wrong and they had swapped out the device. Since then they copy/paste a standard \we are sorry we suck so badly, but stuff you\". Which I noticed they do to pretty much all complaints. So to Hellopeter, please remove takealot from the list of suppliers that respond. Just because they type some rubbish about being sorry for being so bad at what they do doesnt mean they are responding to complaints. Go read the bulk of their responses, its generic nonsense and they dont actually resolve anything. "
So I bought PC components from Takealot and it had a warranty. After the goods went faulty, I returned them under warranty. I had others check there was no physical damage, and that it was correctly packaged in original box with bubble wrap (Takealot have a reputation for rejecting legitimate warranty claims as physical damage so I made double sure they could not do this to me). Weeks later they rejected my claim due to physical damage that was not there when the item was returned. They blame their supplier and say I must fight with the supplier... yet they collected my stock and returned it, and I purchased the item from Takealot. Obviously the supplier laughed at me and told me to take it up with Takealot. Bottom line is DO NOT BUY FROM KIM REID and his company Takealot. This will probably happen to you too if you do. Save your money and buy from a reputable company that supports their customers and honors warranties.
So I bought motherboard from Takealot and it had a 3 year warranty on it. It went faulty after a year and I returned it, only to be told I physically damaged it. I and others had inspected it before sending it as Takealot have a reputation for rejecting warranties. They refuse to deal with me, telling me I must address it with the supplier, who wont deal directly with the customer, and always refer to their T&C. It is as follows: Extended Supplier Warranty (stipulated on product page) A product may have a supplier warranty that extends beyond the 6 month Standard Warranty. If such a product turns out to be defective more than 6 months after delivery / collection, please notify us as soon as reasonably possible after you become aware of the defect, but in any event within the extended supplier warranty period after delivery / collection of the product. Bottom line is any item only has a 6 month warranty with Takealot NO MATTER WHAT THEY ADVERTISE. After 6 months they refer you directly to the supplier who will not deal with the public, hence you lose your warranty. BE WARNED people, no other company will treat you this badly, rather buy from companies that are reputed
