They just keep on proving why they are the best at what they do. I have been an Outsurance client for around 25 years now and had many dealings with them over the years. They are not always the cheapest premium but damn they sure are the absolute best short-term insurer in SA when it comes to service. I guess that is why I have opted to remain with them for so long. You guys rock.
This is more of a question than a review. If you apply to Absa for a business loan, supply the application with all the documents and information required and they then take a few weeks to process and eventually come back declining your application with the reason: "the Bank’s Credit team has indicated that they currently do not have appetite for this type of transaction." The question is what does this mean? Does it mean they are just not interested? That is what it sounds like to me.
In Dec 2024 I bought a new RedRhino pump for my koi pond from Chamberlains Strubens Valley. In early Feb 2025 the pump stopped working so I took it back to Chamberlains. I was informed that the pump will have to be sent to the agent to check and repair if possible. The pump was immediately booked in on 13 Feb 2025 and according to the staff at Chamberlains they notified the agent immediately. I was told that I should hear back within 7 days. On 25 Feb 2025 I contacted Chamberlains to inquire about the pump. The helpful employee immediately contacted the agent involved to inquire about the pump but was told by the agent rep that he had not collected the pump from Chamberlains as yet, he will do so in a day or two. I mean how pathetic from KLB or RedRhino, really. In the meantime I am battling with the pond water due to no circulation and airating and have lost a few fish already, but I guess the KLB rep has better things to do.
I have been an Outsurance client for around 22 years. The awesome customer service, the fair premiums, the ease of the App and processes dealing with them is what makes me remain a loyal customer. My opinion, the others don't come close (and I have had dealings and discussions with quite a few).
Quick and easy process. Staff very helpful and friendly. Special shout to Kareem at Cape Town International airport for going the extra mile in helping us when we were late for our return flight. Keep it up and going team.
I would like to share my experience. I have been an Outsurance client since about 2001/2 and throughout have always had brilliant service from them. However, recently I had received correspondence from them regarding the annual rerate on my premium. Looking through the policy document I found they want to up the premium by 26%. I immediately queried this and they looked into it and dropped it by 9%, which is still ultimately an increase of 17%, way above inflation. I contacted them again stating that I feel this still to be very high and that I was looking at alternate insurance as a result. They immediately contacted me and put me through to a senior customer care consultant. He had a look to "see" what he could do. He brought the premium down by another 10.5%. However, and this is where their deceit has come in, besides for dropping the premiums on my two vehicles ever so slightly what he actually did was to drop the insured value of my house (by 7%) and of the content cover (also by 7%) to so drop the premium. How absolutely sneaky is that? Just another reason to convince me to move over to another insurer.
The resort camping facilities are very neat and very well maintained. Each stand has electricity, water and braai facilities. Ablusions are always kept clean and well serviced. Pricing per stand very reasonable. They might need to pay some attention to their chalets or rondawels and fix them up a bit, currently not worth the price you pay per night. Overall a very good experience.
This business installs DSTV I did an upgrade adding two new explora decoders as extra view a month ago All seemed great, however, I started experiencing problems where the two extra viwe decoders were losing signal from the primary decoder. I contacted Multichoice to assist. They did all the checks and tests, resetting etc but found nothing wrong from their side. Multichoice advised it is a problem with the installation. I contacted Electroconnect who did the installation to come and sort out the issue. I spoke to a guy by the name of August who I presume is the Manager or Owner. He said he will get his technicians to contact me. It has been several days now of trying to get them out but to no avail. They are not answering their phones either. Please do not use this company as your installer
The telephone numbers available for the finance department at UNISA are permanently engaged Unisa owes me money but what a battle to get hold of someone to sort this out

What a uaeless bunch.

Nobody answers any calls at any of the admin offices.
