I am so disappointed in Afrihost. My 2 sons, my husband, and my neighbour are all on Afrihost Mobile which I recommended to them! Only to find now that MY free Gig every month means nothing! As soon as I am off WiFi I don't have internet. I've checked and re-checked the APN's which I can do with closed eyes already, and which is precisely what the support tells me to do. I even have the step-by-step instructions sent to me. Sometimes, after I'm assisted by support (like 4 days ago!) it works fine, only to go offline again. And so it goes..... Totally frustrating!
I can agree with the other complainant. PATHETIC. Signed up and they quickly accepted. (T/C say you are binded after they "accept" your order. Binded by what? Their pathetic service? An Order (Contract) works BOTH WAYS). Ever since they "accepted" the very same day they don't answer phone calls, don't reply to the tickets and they don't reply to emails for days and the only email reply to my query received after 3 days was so confusing that I can't see what they meant, talking about configuring the line and I must reboot the wifi and CPE device. I haven't even gone LIVE and I have no router yet! I want to CANCEL now they threaten me for RECOVERY FEES. WHAT recovery fees? They must just try it. Please, people, STAY AWAY!!!
I was trying to cancel my MWEB month to month contract and could not get hold of anybody since Friday, 30 July 2021, Monday tried everything, sending off emails, telephone calls and website queries. You are only allowed 2 open queries and until those queries are resolved, no further queries can be posted. None of these open queries were ever replied to. All my phone calls ended without getting answered, and came up with call ended. I finally managed to resolve all my issues via the SALES department who at least answered the call and put me through to Cancellations. NOW they told me they will only accept my cancellation for the 1st of September to 30th September and I will have to pay my 2 LTE packages until then.. I highly objected to that, as it was not a fault or delays on MY side, but absolutely unacceptable client services. Their reply is simply that, had I wanted the service to be cancelled at the end of August I should have cancelled on 1 August. HOW was I ABLE to do this if you cannot cancel on the website, your emails AND open queries are not replied to nor my "Ended Calls" when I could absolutely not been able to make contact with ANYONE at MWEB. I am now being PENALISED for MWEB's lack of Customer Service. Being a Pensioner and now having to reduce my budget substantially therefor my reason to cancel, now leave me in a destitute position of having to carry an unnecessary subscription for another month.
If you want my advice, DON'T EVER comment on Downdetector's articles comments section. I have tried to unsubscribe the news feed thread on an article on ZA Telkom on the Downdetector's website. I follow all the steps I saw on Disqus, but it keeps on sending me the thread, which is now over 5000! I want this out of my INBOX PLEASE. I've sent emails on their website (they don't give you an email address) but never received any replies or assistance.
I have been trying to close a comments section thread on an article by "Downdetector on ZA Telkom" for days now, to no avail. I used all the avenues given on Disqus's support pages, so I don't know WHAT to do anymore. WHY is there not a Support EMAIL or CONTACT NUMBER for Disqus to explain to someone to PLEASE JUST CLOSE MY THREAD. I have received these emails on this article comments thread over and over (there are about 5 000 on the article). Please, if someone at DISQUS can read this, PLEASE CLOSE MY THREAD on DOWNDETECTOR's article on ZA TELKOM and my Avatar is LBS ! It would be highly appreciated.
I have tried several time in vain, to UNSUBSCRIBE. Yet the surveys fill up my mail box day after day. How do you get this company to UNSUBSCRIBE you? They say send an email which I did many times, as well as unsubscribed on the website itself. This is most irritating.
We are supposed to be able to block any advertiser which sends us SMS's. But Pick 'n Pay spam messages hits at least three times a day now, "Smartshopper" this and "Smartshopper" that. You can block the number, but they just bombard you on another number! Really, this is just tooo much.
I would like to praise Mantoa for solving my problem which I reported on 8 January 2016 within 24 hours! She really and truly went that extra mile. Another small accounting error occurred and she corrected that immediately as well, after taking the trouble to phone me directly. With people like Mantoa one can forgive MTN for any mistakes, as she will resolve it in no time!
