I have been with Dstv/Multichoice for 20+years and took a 24 month subscription to obtain the 10% pensiors discount because they said it is only for pensioners in a retirement home which is a total lieas I have a numbe of close friends who have received the 10% pensioners discount who are not in a retirement home. Dstv debit my credit card. Unfortunately my credit card was ****med and I was sent a replacement credit card with a new number. I was told that Dstv call centre cannot change my credit card number (understandable) and must use My Dstc selfservice which I did and it would not change the credit card number but gave me an error 500 message. \ No matter how many emails I sent to Dstv help or Dstv CEO I got the same response that it had been updated and I could change the number, BS, could not change the number. SDame responce-updated so I asked them to call me, no callback so they disconected my Dstv Premium connection. I is not surprising that Multichoice is insolvent with this sort of service. Time these high cost executive knew what was going on and why they a losing so many subscription. Lastly when trying to contact the call centreagent thay "demand" my ID number which I refuse to give over the phone with so ****mers around. They have other security questions that they can ask but refused to do so. I too will soon become an ex Dstv subscriber if nothing is done to update my credit card details

When I cancelled my membership within the prescribed period I have not received my refund but I am fogged off saying that I am on the list for repayment and there is a delay due to Covid, what absolute rubbish the regulation are at level 1 and staff can return to work it is now two weeks and I have not been refunded and is my oopinion that they are using my money to help their cash flow Anyone acception the membership need to research what they are being told before they sign up. The savings on airfare, for which I reacall being told in the presentation is that they controll the software where all travel agencies need to come to them to book flights hence the savings. This is not true as I did a booking with British Airway and was quoted by mytravelution and the saving was a mere R100. This was confirmed by daughter in law in UK Be aware
Dstv did get back to me that Dstv(multichoice) would not allow debit orders to be paid for by credit card which was only a contradiction to an email that I received from them informing me that the debit order system would be up and running by end of October If they do not want to debit a credit card for a debit order why then do they accept payment by credit card??? Further why did they not inform me from the start that they would not be allowing credit cards to be used for debit orders. Other companies provide this facility Also responses from call centres have no authority to handle such matters, why can't a decision making manager make the call???
It has now more than eight (8) months that Dstv (Multichoice) has not been able provide me with debit order facilites using my credit card notin that they are upgrading their system. The result is that I have lost out on the twenty four month special of a reduced price of approximately R60 because of their inability to upgrade their debit order system. A company that is supposedly technically competent is unable to resolve their debit order system in more than eight months raises the question if they actually want to update their system. I understand that I am only one in more than a million customers so what if they lose one customer nothing in the big scheme of things
Not surprising that DStv is losing customers. It is now over three months that they have taken to resolve the debit order problem on their self help and resulting in me losing out on one of their promotions They are in my mind plain incompetent and it embarrisses their customer service people who just hold their hands up high This is what happens when they have no real competitors Lastly and it has been said before - Repeat, repeat, repeat programmes
