I’ve been with King Price since 2015, paying premiums on two vehicles I drive. I disclosed my international driver’s licence when I joined — and it was accepted.In 2019, I had an accident. King Price approved my claim without issue. Now, years later, King Price is rejecting my current claim for the same reason — the same licence they’ve always known about. This is unfair, inconsistent, and unacceptable. I’ve requested them to either honour my claim or refund all premiums since 2015 for both vehicles (excluding past claims). If they don’t resolve it, I will escalate to the Ombudsman for Short-Term Insurance (OSTI). King Price, please act in good faith and resolve this now.
Caution is advised when dealing with this business. We paid the owner, Peter Baker, for vehicle transport from Durban to Johannesburg over two months ago. The delivery was later cancelled due to his inability to secure transport. Despite multiple follow-ups, we’ve received ongoing excuses regarding our refund, and he has since blocked us on social media and stopped responding to emails. It's deeply disappointing, especially as we always try to support small businesses.
I lost my iPad on the 30th of November. I claimed from King Price and the process took very long and they gave the case to an investigator who did his full investigation and finally my claim was approved on the 18th of December. To this date, I have not received my replacement iPad or the cash equivalent thereof and there has been no communication regarding payment. I have sent multiple emails with no replies. I have been with king price since 2013 and I utterly disappointed with how they run their business and I am already getting quotes from other insurance companies who are more professional
Most useless bank ever, i have been trying to get a refund from African Bank for my accounts which were double settled. I have submitted all paperwork required for my refund to be paid through but they keep rejecting the refund with no reason. I have submitted refund requests over 8 times now and no one is will to assist with my refund. They are keeping my money for 3 months now. African Bank are a bunch of thieves, i would advise anyone to stay away from these thugs
<p>I applied for vehicle finance with Wesbank a couple of days ago. My finance was declined due to the fact that i have a foreign drivers licence. I am a naturalized SA citizen since 2004 and I have a valid SA passport and SA ID. I did not convert my foreign drivers licence when i was naturalized in SA and I have been using an International Drivers Permit which can be used in SA. Wesbank seems to have a problem with me not having a SA Drivers licence. I think this is unfair for them to decline me finance on these grounds as I have a valid International Drivers Permit.</p>
I froze my gym membership from December 2015 until April 2016 as I am outside the country. The consultant requested that i send him my proof of travel and emailed it to him at the end of November. The process was completed but to my surprise December and January payments went off my bank account. I would like for these payments to be refunded as soon as possible.
i figured this is the only way to get woolworths financial services attention as they DO NOT return calls. I applied for a credit card and finally got it after a LONG struggle. Anyways the credit does not work. Every time I put it on an ATM or I try swipe, it says the card is blocked and I have never been able to use this card. For the past 2 weeks I have been calling WFS and they always say they will get back to me but they never. I have spent a couple of 100s rands on airtime as I try call them everyday and I'm placed on hold for at least 20 minutes all the time and they always say my card will be working with a few hours but it never does work. And no one has called me back up to now. I even went to an Absa branch with card and Absa says they can't unblock as it can only be unblocked by WFS but WFS literally refuses to help me.
