On the 2017-12-09 I and my Husband went to Standard Bank in Canal walk shopping centre where I wanted to open up an savings account with Standard bank. I was assisted by Summaya Bux. Summaya had a lot of information that she wanted from me concerning the account concerning the amounts that would be coming into my account and going out of the account and from where the money will be coming from etc. Summaya then asked me to fill in documents with my full names and surname and to sign. The first form I unknowingly signed next to information where I should not have signed, she made me feel incompetence for signing at the wrong place. She so reprinted the form which I refilled in only to be informed by her that my names where spelled wrong as if I don’t know how to spell my own name She then handed my ID book to me as if I had to look in my ID book how to spell my names. She then told me that my handwriting is un neat and not acceptable for the bank. She then requested that my husband should write my names for me instead. Then she reprinted the forms a 3rd time and asked me to fill my names in neatly telling me not to form my letters a certain way because it’s unneat and it is not right. Never in my life have I ever been so insulted of felt like such a stupid idiot as when address by Summaya Bux from Standard Bank. My husband felt insulted so that when we left we took a minute or two to discuss the issue and decided that we don’t want to have any further dealings with Standard Bank and thus did not deposit any money into the account to accitivate it. We then went back to the bank and requested to see someone in charge , the helpful reception lady went in search of a team leader then after waiting for 5 minutes we decided to leave. At home my husband had to console me as I was crying because I felt embarrassed in front of him and people who were in the booth just behind us. As far as I am concerned I don’t think Summaya has any idea how to speak to customer’s she has no people s****s she is extremely rude. I am considering taking this matter to my lawyer as she has blatantly insulted me repeatedly which is unacceptable and me feel stupid.
We have paid R12000 early last year in full (March) after we were asked to do it asap, ever since after that , we had to phone numerous times to try and find out what is going on ( still hoping everything will work out, up to date we haven't received any communication from Otto or his offices, I have also asked Otto last year August I would like a refund , he informed me he couldn't pay me as he don't have the money , I was always very patient with Otto and understanding, but now I'm fed up with waiting , I want my money back a full refund, I don't want to wait any longer , I want a full refund.
I had a parcel that was put in the drop box at Mega City mall pick n pay on the 23 December , today is the 28th december and I checked online it doesn't show up on the tracking, I contacted pe branch where Damien who was very helpfull said he will try and find out why my parcel wasn't picked up, I phoned Jhb Aramex branch, I was put on hold for several minutes then a customer service man told me the parcel would only be collected maybe tonight, and they make use of outside people to pick up for them and they have 72 hours to do so, but this is not what they advertise, I have asked the receptionist koketshwa to put me threw to a manager and she informed she can't do that I must speak to customer service once again she put me threw after holding on for a very long time I then spoke to Archie and explained that I would like to speak to someone in charge he then transferred me to thozama the supervisor , but I was holding on again for very long time , I have given up trying to see where my parcel is , Damien from port elizabeth is busy now trying to help me , I think this is extremely unprofessional service , and why pay R 99 for delivery and then you have to wait so long ,
We have applied at bond a property ,paid our money earlier ( Otto van tonder phoned me asked me if we couldn't pay our fee earlier ) he was sure that we would get a bond by no later than middle July due to them going to get listed on jse. So we paid our R12000 in full end March. Needless to say We are still waiting for our bond, no proof of any trusts have been sent and I had to ph them email them every day asking were my receit is for the money we paid! We found out by Otto that they couldn't list on JSE due to someone defrauded them, he explained how much money it costs for the radio shows and advertisements( this was done with our money ( the customers who paid bond a property with there money ! He used it to promote his business with our money , we have asked Otto fir our money back but he just said he is sorry he can't pay it back , WE WANT OUR R 12000 BACK Otto you want other people to invest money in bond a property but you can't even pay back R12000?
