We purchased a 6ton UD Croner from AAD Epping branch in 2017. Took delivery 3 August 2017. This was the first Croner to be sold in CT. We brought this truck in for its 60 000km service on Saturday 17th August and they had to sort out the clutch as well. We were told its driver negligence so we paid the bill of R32k. We took the truck for tyres to IC Steele and was told that they cannot do the alignment as both kingpins need to be replaced. We were told by AAD its out of warranty (by 14 days), and we need to foot the bill. This is a first that a truck at 60 000km needs to have kingpins replaced. This must be a manufacturing problem. As there were no parts available we had to wait for the parts to be imported. This costed us another R20 000 to rent a truck and the bill from AAD was R11 000. The truck was then taken back to be aligned, only to be told that the rim was buckled. IC Steele then put the spare on while the rim was being repaired, only to find that the spare rim was worse. It was oval and not round. This spare has never been used. We were told its a manufacturing fault. We had to pay True Wheel R2400 to repair the rims. After many calls and emails, I was told by AAD that they will see if they could re-imburse some of the money for the kingpin and rim. I have made many calls and emails with no response. No money has been re-imbursed. This is real pathetic after sales service.
My husband has a ring which cracked at the bottom. We took it to O'Briens N1 City and asked them to fix the ring as well as replace the red stone with a black stone. The cost was R570 and we left it with them. They had it sent away as their jeweller was on leave at the time. We collected the ring 22nd May 2019. On Sunday 9th June while sitting at the table eating, the black stone fell out. We took it back and the jeweller said he will charge half price to fix it. I was not amused as I was not prepared to pay again. He said he had to replace the claws and there was a crack on the top of the ring. I told him that was unacceptable as I already paid to have it fixed and the claw was missing and they must have damaged the ring when they replaced the stone. Well they would not budge, so we walked out. We are now sitting with a broken ring with no stone after paying R570. Shoddy service.
Had a retirement annuity since 2002 which expired when I turned 55. 14 September 2018. Was told I'm getting the payout latest 15 October. Later got an email to say it expires December 2018. This is unacceptable as they are getting interest on my money. Still waiting for the payout. Don't use Sanlam
I got a quote from the owner Theo Fortuin, for installing grey water at our home which we accepted and paid for the tank and 50% deposit upfront. He installed tank and pipes and said he would use our existing pump from our Jojo tank as he said it was powerful enough. On completion he tested it. The tank to catch the water was filling, however the pump was not strong enough to push the water back to the toilet cistern or to the outlet tap. I asked him to get a stronger pump and I will deposit the money into his account. He sent me pics of the pump and I agreed that he buys it. He then asked me to send him the balance of money owing as he needs to pay his staff, which I did. He never returned to complete the job. He said he had fitted the grey water system. I told him I agree but its not working and he needs to fit the stronger pump. In the meantime the water in the tank was filling and running into the outlet pipe which led to a small patch of lawn which was soon going to be a swamp. He stopped taking my calls and we then went to purchase the tank, much stronger than he recommended , as we were told the other was also too weak. I also gave him the pump which came with the grey water tank in exchange to fitting a pool backwash tank. He left with the brand new pump, did not fit the backwash tank and I sat with water running into the lawn and could not use the grey water. We had to pay another plumber to complete the job.

Donavan from Sureclean Pools was at our home to fix a leak on our pool. He had to lift our paving to find the leak. This was 12 July 2016 and we paid him R1200. We also asked him to relay some other loose paving. This was done 15 July and we paid him R3200. We called him to come back as the paving was spoilt with a layer of dry cement which we are struggling to remove and the pool still has a leak. After numerous calls he eventually answered his phone and promised to come back 4 October 2016 and never did. He is not answering his phone. I find this absolutely shocking service and I would not recommend him to anyone. We now have to pay another company.

We notified Jon Taylor about 3 weeks ago because the wifi connected to the security cameras were not working. He makes appointments and never pitches. He does not even have the decency to call and tell you his not coming. We have to sit at home whole day and wait. The next day we phone again and the same thing happens. On 2 occasions he rocked up and nothing was fixed. He is a complete waste of time..... Im am almost sure he does not know what his doing. Today he sends technicians with absolutely NO instructions. Jons boss, Martin Botha was also supposed to call me back today after a meeting with Jon. Im still waiting... I managed to get hold of Jon and as he wanted to speak to the technician, i told him to use his phone to call the technician as I have wasted far too much money on calls to him. The technician is still waiting. WELL i thought Jon was the problem, but i now see its his boss Martin Botha as well. PATHETIC SERVICE. We need to find another security company
