Do not waste your money on extended warranty at makro for electronics. You will call them daily with no response and no escalations, You will be directed to some call centre that CANT assist you with ANYTHING. The stupid promises sales people in store tell you its ALL LIES
ESSOPS HOME furniture has no guarantee Do not waste your money by buying Essops furniture. Their furniture looks good but is of very low quality and there are no guarantees nor repairs on their furniture. I bought a dining table for R15k. It’s peeling off and I am still waiting for repairs to the dining table. more than a year later. Cielo sells quality than ESSOPS. There is no customer service especially once you buy from them. I will take my complaint to Ombudsman.

We bought LG 84cm tv Makro Woodmead and sales people convinced us to get extended warranty as the tv is expensive and we paid almost R3k for extended warranty. I logged a call last week saturday with reference 20U7K, provided all details required and the invoice for the tv and the extended warranty. Initially I was told Makro is waiting for feedback from LG, now I am told the call is with Makro Head Office. I have been calling the head office the whole week and no one answers and haven’t received any call from the technician. What a useless store. Now the whole december we should be without a TV. And they keep sending me to rate the service - What’s the to rate?????
I bought a dining table at Essops in 2023 and before the end of 2024 the table is chipping off. all sides of the table. any slights contact with water - the table changes shape. I have been an Essops client for over 15 years and could vouch for their furniture as I bought couches and other furniture with no issue. I wouldn't advise you to buy their dining tables or furniture as they indicated that there is no guarantee on their furniture. I feel like I wasted my money buying this 15k dining table. I contacted customer care, and their response was "Hi Thank you for contacting Essops Home, unfortunately there is no guarantee on the table, but we can assist by referring to a repair department who will contact to assist." I asked why can't it be replaced and what if it after repairs after few months i have the same issue- I did not receive a response.
I bought two pants and two sweaters for my 1 year old. when i got home I realised that there is a mark on the one sweater. the manager/supervisor instore told me its impossible for the items to have marks. even if they take it for assessment, it will be rejected. I was told i should buy a dye and dye the item. Pathetic service, needless to say I will close my truworths account. One buys quality only for it to be DAMAGED.
I bought leggings last month at identity (Black and Grey) with no issues. I then when to Truworths. I found two black leggings (same material) so I also bought the Truworths onces as I wanted only black but because I normally buy these leggings,I know in the past they used to be Black and Grey. So i decided to return the legging bought at Identify. The gentlemen who assisted me refused and told me leggings are part of underwear. since from when???? Will pay off identity account and CLOSE IT. pathetic services I get always at this store. Even in June I bought a jacket and they refused to take it
There is a black lady (I am using her skin colour) because I don’t know her name. She would rather be just on her phone and listen to voice notes the whole time than help customers - 06 July 2024 She needs to go for training. The two gentlemen give great service.
I bought Espadrile slip- on Loafers from Sandton City. The shoes are loose, not damaged but there is something wrong with them. I even bought a different colour, same size just to proove my point. The tan colour SAME SIZE(both size 4) fits perfectly however the light blue is very loose...I am not even confident wearing them. can i return them even though i bought them last year i think December on account and get maybe another fitting size? i have worn them less than 5 times because of them being loose
I bought a lawmwomer machine December, used it once and then the handle of the grass box broke at first time use from the box. Returned it to Makro Woodmead and now they don't want to change it saying that it's not covered by warranty. I do accept that warranty doesn't cover it, but surely if it broke when only used for the 1st time, that clearly means the item was defective. The item was returned after 15 days from initial purchase and no response received to date.
