Went to have my ears syringed at Dischem clinic at Liberty Midlands mall. To start she put boiling water down my ear. Then wen she put the syringe in my ear she banged it twice which was terribly painful. I asked if she had managed to clean my ear - she said no and told me just to put in more drops and it will come out. No surprise that I did not want my other ear done. I wrote to Dischem to tell them that my ear is very painful. I got a feeble reply that they are sorry. I feel that the least they could do is refund my money for a horror visit and pay my doctors bill. They have ignored 3 more of my emails It is almost a month later and I still have earache. I am 77 and have no medical aid.
I have been rejected 3 times. My daughter helped me to re-submit again last year August. They eventually responded asking if I am male or female. My daughter rep**** - nothing. We have tried many emails. One responded saying they have a new computer program and they cannot find me on it. Another email response came 3 weeks ago saying someone is looking into the matter. Still nothing. Elly Willis I will be 77 on the 12th August and am struggling financially. I. am within the limit set by them. I cannot imagine what the problem is, I quote a reference no every time - Still nothing!!!!
Can you help with Sassa. I have been rejected 3 times. Sent all the correct info in August 2022. Sent at least 2 emails a month. All I get is a message that they have received my email. I am 76 and struggling. My daughter tried and they tell her they cannot find me on their computer. Can you help I have all the relevant numbers. Thank you Elly Willis
I bought some night cream that had passed their sell by date at a big store. They would not take it back without a slip. I contacted Good stuff. They immediately offered to send me a replacement. Not only did they send me a replacement but they sent me a hand cream and a body cream. Well done Good stuff that is what I call service. I put the right email address but it would not accept it. hello@goodstuffco.co.za
After my last review Caitec replied that I would hear from a designated official. That was on the 25th April and still nothing. I did get an email from the person I have been dealing with since the 12th April from Capitec's complaint department. The email: "I refer to your complaint raised thank you for providing us with the opportunity to look into the matter". I then got a phone call from the same person on the 27th April ( they are supposed to be closed on a public holiday) telling me again my case is closed, Capitec is not insured for fraud and I will not be refunded. All I can do is go to the ombudsman. I asked her to give me this information in writing, also emailing it four times - still noting!. I sincerely hope this person is not the designated official. I have had nothing but frustration from Capitec's complaint department. From the 5th April till 23 April nothing was done for me. On the 5th of April I was told (by the same person) it would take 5 days to investigate and as all calls are recorded and my call to Capitec reporting the fraud could be traced. Bearing in mind that it is now already more than a month after the incident which occurred on the 2nd March. The most disgusting customer service!!!
On the 2nd March 2021 I received a scam call from someone claiming to be Capitec. I immediately phoned their security no 0860102043. A staff member who gave me a reference no. and a case number withdrew R50400.00 out of my savings account (I only realized this afterwards that I was being scammed a the bank!). She kept me on the line and I saw the money going out of my account and into an African Bank account. She told me not to worry to go and see my branch the next day. At the branch I was told to come back in 3 hours - nothing was done. An email was sent to forensics the next day. I phoned daily - nothing was done. On the 16th March 2weeks later I was told to do a police report. When I took it in I was told to do an affidavit as well before forensics could do something After many phone calls from me forensics phoned me with a reference number on the 25th March telling me the money that was left in African bank will be deposited in my account the rest of the money was not there anymore. surprise surprise 23 days later. I was then told to go to the Ombudsman who told me to go to Capitec Complaints Department first. Even more frustrating and bad service. The R8499.80 from African Bank was deposited on the 20th April. After several emails and phone calls I got a call on the 23rd April that my money cannot be refunded and that Capitec is not insured against fraud. I am 74 a widow and a pensioner and this is all the money available to me. I am struggling financially. Capitec dragged their heels with the most disgusting customer service. I have been a client for many years. I do have details of all the people I emailed and phoned it would take up several pages. This has caused me almost 2 months of tremendous stress - not good at my age.
My policy was ceded with Fnb. Old Mutual could not trace it and told me to trace it. This took almost a year. I managed to get it unceded even though Fnb lost it. Now I just cannot get them to pay out this policy. My husband passed away on 23rd April 2014 and I have been struggling ever since. They just keep passing the buck from one to another. Now they want me to open a late estate account again (I don't know if this is possible) My husbands estate was wound up long ago. This has dragged for more than a year due to their incompetence. No one is interested in helping me. It would be great if someone with some brains and understanding could contact me.

Elly Willis - Cramond
