What a ****!!! Beware of these guys!!! They were contracted to do a resurfacing of an existing tar road. Needless to say, it was a ****. After the first rains, the gravel was washed away. There was no response or acknowledgement from the company through the contact numbers on the invoice, nor the email address.
I ordered toner after the printer gave notice of it being almost empty. The order was placed on Friday, 28/03 and we received a reference number for it. Today, 02/04, the toner has run out and our office is stuck. Up to now, it has not been delivered, and this after they promised it would be done by today. If they do not have the ability to serve clients outside city limits, they should rescind their agreements, so we are released to find service providers that has the capacity to serve their clients better. The service level is pathetic.
This is a shady company. I have had dealings with them before but didn't realize the Modus Operandi of this company. They communicate via email on the heels of the SADC Advertising company (they might be related - possibly) that offers a free listing. Unsuspecting of the fact that this is a different company, you complete the information form they send you and return it - under the impression that they are the SADCAdvertising company. They follow this up with an invoice in a month's time of thousands of Rand. When you phone them or they phone you, they point out that on the contract in very fine print (usually a couple of terms and conditions that we normally ignore), in letters, not financial/numerical value written in Rand. A friend of mine also received these emails and, after he had an argument with them about canceling the contract, as they call it, immediately after the call received a letter from some attorney/debt collector. They only have a seven days cancelation period!!! He went to the ombudsman to lodge a complaint.
I have a Fixed Wireless Terminal for my business communications. The sim card was faulty and had to be replaced. After my own investigation, I found that the terminal and sim card has to be \paired"for it to work again. Dewald either does not know this or doesn't care for it to be repaired. He has given me the runaround for 3 weeks already. I am very upset and disgusted at his poor level of service and responsibility. As I understand he gets a passive income from Vodacom for all the airtime sold to customers like me. I wish there was someone else who cared enough to help! """
In reference to Fault report 59ATK100515:
I am very unsatisfied with the way TELKOM is dealing with this issue. 0.5Km from us is Mogodi Lodge. They were also subjected to cable theft BUT theirs were replaced. Even a week later the cable was cut or broken by a tree branch and again, within a week, it was repaired.

Is there favoritism in TELKOM or have the officials been bribed to replace the cable AND repair it within a short space of time?

The problem is that TELKOM can not provide me with alternative cost effective means of service. This in itself is really bad because there is no other service provider that is able to give such a service.

Further more I pay a hefty fee for contracts that helps me zero as the line it promotes is non-functional. These contracts are R 718 per month excl. VAT!

There is only one solution for me and it is that TELKOM replace the cable asap.
I run a Tourism accommodation business that is located 2 km out of Graskop. On Wednesday 06 May 2015 the technician was responding to a report on one of our phone lines (after more than a week). He could not finish the job on all the lines and had to return the next day. That night, one of the cable bearing poles was sawed off and the section of cable, between the outside poles, was cut and removed. The section is about 50 to 75 meters. There are only 3 lines and our ADSL on this cable.
The next day, Thursday 07 May 2015, the technician reported that the line was cut and said that to replace the line would prove difficult because there was little available for them. He said that he would find out if they could connect a much thinner cable that will support the 3 lines and ADSL.
We reported the fault. The response was that Telkom will not replace this cable because of a previous instance of theft on this line.
My complaint is that Telkom does not have any other solutions available to us that is viable and affordable. It is unacceptable because I do not have any other solution available that will give me the same service, at the same cost, as I had prior to the cable theft.
