I found old beer bottles from previous guests next to the chair. Rooms are not being cleaned properly. If they cant remove that, do they really clean?? Maybe they are even giving old sheets to customers? Not to think about the bathroom! I phoned reception and asked that someone please come and assist with the Aircon. An hour later someone came and said the lady at reception only told them now. They said they will come and clean my room in 30 minutes. TWO hours later still no one had come. In the afternoon I was trying to rest, but the cleaning staff made so much noise down the corridor, shouting, talking loudly etc that I couldn't rest So I got up and went to order some food from the bar and restaurant finding the staff there (no guests) and SO LOUD and unfriendly that I almost turned around to order something from mr Delivery. They were SO unfriendly and unwelcoming, so loud and noisy I couldn't hear what the guy was saying when I tried to order. When my order was ready, I found out later, he was the one that phoned to tell me my food was ready. He mumbled something in the phone and when I asked "to please repeat" he just slammed the phone down! What kind of behavior is this! SO UNPROFESSIONAL! Id rather pay a bit more and stay in a proper, professional hotel next time. Very disappointed in City Lodge Bryanston. Their service and behavior definitely went down since I stayed their the last time.
I stayed at the Rivonia Road Lodge for three days. The first day was fine. I checked out and was back two days later. The room they gave me had a heater that constantly blew cold air. Maintenance said its normal. I asked for another room but got such arrogance and rudeness from the lady duty manager that I was very surprised as i had been friendly. There were also a whole group of Grade 12 students and i enquired about them, because of pure interest being an International teacher abroad amongst other things. (I later chatted with them about their exams etc). I decided then to stay in the room with the broken heater. The next day a couple booked into the room next to me, and had *** the whole day. I could hear EVERYTHING. I hoped it would stop, but by 17h00 i couldn't take it anymore. I felt so disgusted. The man at reception rudely told me i can't get another room after i tried to explain. I then asked to see the duty manager, a man, whose name I can mention but wont. Again he arrogantly said, i also had a problem the day before with the kids! What utter nonsense. And what nonsense that a customer gets treated like this. I have only been friendly and respectful and my complaints were very valid! Since when is a customer not allowed to raise concerns? He was treating me with such disrespect that i turned and walked off, he then shouted after me! These people should not work in hospitality or with people. We are paying their salaries and we pay to stay there, who do they think they are. They should be able to get on with people from all walks of life and all races! They should not work in a hotel.
For more than a year now they keep sending me letters that I must pay my licence. I don't have a TV, don't watch SABC, neither do I live in South Africa anymore. But they don't listen they keep threatening. They are pathetic. This is what they keep sending me, then I explain to them then they send me another final warning. I get calls from your offices +27 010 492 1700 allmost daily, many many times a day. If I answer the person on the other end puts the phone down without talking! If i phone back then an answering service says the subscriber you have called is not available at present. STOP PHONING ME! This is bordering now on harrassment. Why are you phoning me!<br> <br> Please stop contacting me.
My car was driven into by another driver from behind. What really protected my car mostly was my spare wheel in the back. I took my car for assessment, and the assessor saw and recognized the damages on the spare tire. He \apparently forgot\" to write it down and shortly after the assessment he left that company. My car went to the panel beaters and Absa idirect now refuse to pay for the tire as they say there are no damages. Yet they did replace the wheel cover as that was damaged from the impact. Now Absa idirect for you to make statement like that tell me did you come out to check? Absa idirect now demand i pay for it as they refuse to pay for it, yet i had been faithfully paying my installment monthly with them for over a year, and i had a contract with them, and they HAVE to COVER the costs. Worst Insurance company ever."
My car was insured with Absa idirect since end December 2014 till last month. I had two claims and their service was very bad. I complained about it, and they cancelled my insurance they claimed due to bad claim experience! They had not been very friendly or helpfull to say the least. Last year it took them about 6 weeks just to get my window repaired and i had to drive without a window all that time after a few failed attempts to fix my window, by ordering wrong sizes etc etc. This year someone drove into me, and it was the same story, i had to lodge complaints before anyone contacted me to assist me! Then because i was upset with their bad service they then went and cancelled my policy. How unprofessional is that. The lady that phoned said that Absa idirect made a mistake when they gave me the insurance as they dont take on people that had more than two claims in the last few years or something. So they cancelled it. Now giving ME a bad name while they are the ones that's at fault, it think that is quite unprofessional from their side.
I was with Absa idirect (car insurance) since January 2015. Was in an accident three weeks ago where someone drove into me at a red light. The panelbeater they use can only help me mid March and it will take maybe more than TWO WEEKS, to repair my car, the damage can hardly be seen. IAbsa's service is bad. Last year it took them 5 weeks just to get my window repaired, after a few failed attempts, wrong windows being put in etc. I just got a call from Maureen Mothogwane telling me Absa is cancelling my contract with them due to \claims and conditions\", (my car is still not fixed by the way), meaning they don't take new clients if the client have prior to them more than three claims. Yet they knew I had three claims and they signed me up with an Insurance with them in December 2014, and are now saying it was a fault on their side as they were not supposed to take me on!. I asked her to put it black on white for me and all the reasons in an official email. She explained that it cant be done and they dont do it! I want my car fixed properly and soon. It is EXTREMELY stressfull to deal with Absa idirect and to get one's car fixed!"
After numerous complaints and requests to sort out my statement, and update it, (months now), its still not done. I filed a complaint on hellopeter on the 11 December 2015, I asked for a statement earlier and I only received an email without an attachment from Lancet on the 6 January 2016. I asked them to send me the statement and also the correct one (as i had been doing for months now) as it does not correspond with the sms's im getting from them. The message says: R1062.18 outstanding, email, without attachment says R 1837.88. I also asked them no numerous times to STOP phoning me!! All i want is a correct and updated detailed statement so I can pay the correct amount. Instead of doing that they phone me like mad (why? when all i want is a correct statement!!!) Then after emailing them to ask for correct statement, and an actual statement attached, they send an sms the next day: \we are about to advise our client that they apply for judgement on you for your lancet account. ITCBA. This is the most ridiculous company I ever came across. Dont you have an updated correct statement to give to me
My employer have asked Discovery Health to move my medical aid to my name as it was/is under their name, and I left the company. As it is Discovery had now cancelled my medical aid instead of keeping and transferring it to me. They say it is still active and i told them its not as i get messages saying both my med aid and Vitality is inactive and unavailable. The whole month of December is paid both the installment and Vitality. I wanted to book my flight and accommodation through Vitality as they owe me discounts on that, and it wont allow me as they say its cancelled. I have also sent and urgent email to this person responsible (two now this afternoon) and got NO response back, accept that they say my med aid is active and the rest in process. Which is not true. I got an email from Discovery this afternoon saying my med aid had been cancelled! Kindly fix this as right now I cant book my flight etc! Also kindly transfer it to me not cancel it. No one has phoned me regarding which plan i would like for next year or for any other info.
Lancet told me earlier this year i have payments outstanding, which i told them i will pay off monthly, as I have been and am doing. Since then the balance just seems to be getting bigger. And they have all kinds of excuses. They gave my name to ITC BA. ITC BA and lancet are phoning me uncountable time everyday (its MAD), after i phoned them a few times, sent emails etc etc. My payments don't reflect on their system. Yet i have all the proof. They threaten me with legal action, yet i am paying it monthly as per agreement. They ignore all i have to say. The lady at accounts also promised me to take my name off at ITC since its their fault. She didnt. LANCET Morningside clinic, also mixed up my papsmear results in their lab with someone else's, they charge me for that and I now have to go again to my gynaecologist for a papsmear, it will cost thousands. So LANCET are you carrying the costs since you messed up again? GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER AND STOP THREATENING ME.
