I opened an account at Edgars Brooklyn a while ago and saw on my statement that they have added an Mobile Content Subscription of R59. I don't know what it is for and no one can tell me what it is for either. I have cancelled it on 11 July 2024 just to see that it is still on my statement this month and has been ever since I cancelled. After holding on for almost 10 minutes they could only escalate the matter to some or other department. This is SO frustrating, it is totally out of my hands and it's not something I wanted or knew about. I will close this account because it seems like that is going to be the only option to get rid of this.
I was at the Brooklyn branch. It was horific. I was burnt in my neck and on my scalp by the clipper. I asked him to just cut my hair a bit shorter, as I don’t wear my hair short. He stuck the clipper in and started cutting and it was so shirt, I had to cut it all off. It looks as though a rat was in my hair. They didnt offer to wash or to bloe away the clippings. They appear lazy, walked with dragging feet and when they speak they don’t ooen their mouths or connect with the client. Just STAY AWAY!!!

The shop assistants at Mac counter in Edgars at Brooklyn Mall are either not trained or they are plain lazy. I went to buy eyeshadow today. There was no one to help me. They were all standing together in the passage, chatting in a group. No one came to assist me. I saw the samples of the eye shadow and tried a few out at the mirror. I decided on a colour and had to walk over to them and ask how much they are. A few rep**** with the price. I told them that I would like to take one like the sample. The lady opened the draw and looked and looked for it. I asked her if she thought that sample has a bit of shine. She said she will tell me once she has found it. While she was still looking for it, another customer came. One of the other assistants went to her and came over to ask the assistant who was trying to assist me a question regarding a product that that lady enquired about. My assistant started helping that lady. I was standing and waiting. Eventually there were 3 assistants helping her and giggling away. I just left. They just left me there. Is my money not as good as someone else’s??? Because I can go and spend it at another brand, for sure! I feel they don’t know where their products are stored, they don’t know hiw to let all customers feel welcome and important to them.
The lifts are terrible. The one lift inside Woolworths kept me waiting and waiting fir at least 10 min. Then i called centre management who said they will send security out to check. Then I went to the lift outside Edgars. Waited snd waited snd waited. I had to top up my parking ticket again. I kept on calling center management and the lady said she can report it, but it is out of her hands. I had groceries with me, so i couldn’t use the escalators. When I EVENTUALLY got into the lift, the door kept closing and opening. We waited and waited. This id unacceptable. Brooklyn Mall is supposed to be in one of the more affluent areas. Why is this not taken care of? The trolley people helped me carry my groceries down the escalator. They told me that it has been a problem now for how long!! Brooklyn mall, please get your ducks in a row and tend to these lifts. PLEASE
