We had purchased a Defy Washing machine from Hirsch back in 2019; not to mention a great amount of other appliances to fit/furnish a new flat..... Soon after the purchase (during the the Warranty period), the machine started giving endless problems; long story short the machine has gone back and forth to Defy numerous times, I have lost count. We have had a loan machine provided to us for a period of 5 months when they then lost/misplaced our machine at Defy repairs department; only then receiving it back after many phone calls and fighting with Defy and Hirsch on numerous times trying to sort this out. We have been passed on from manager to manager; upon arrival back from repairs our machine that came back from Defy has arrived battered and dented from lying in there work shop for so long. This is completely unacceptable, we have been more than patient and accomodating but this back and forth banter of on going issues with this machine is becoming stale. This was not the condition it left in and hope fully someone can get back to me regarding a way forward as we will not accept it. My file is at Hirchs Hillcrest with all the communications and complaints and ongoing machine issues should you need to view them.
Disgusting service ruined holiday - Thrifty I am absolutely devastated by the service of thrifty Cape town Greenpoint. I am still waiting for my PAID FOR CAR HIRE and I am back in Durban already after having to Uber all of Sunday of which ubers were scarce and having to use a driver to bring myself and my daughter to the airport this morning AT A ADDITION COST. I booked a car rental last week with thrify and paid in full before hand. I went to collect the car yesterday in an uber, driving with both my young teenage girls. I then got to the branch in Greenpoint to be told there is NO cars and there wont be probably till after 1pm..... I was also told there were about 7 people waiting for the same car!!!!!!!! how is this possible. THE RUDE MAN BEHIND THE COUNTER THEN OFFERS ME A WORK VAN......... WHAT THE HELL!!!!! We had plans for lunch my girls and I, and we had made reservations on a waiting list and then received the call that they had a space however we couldn't get there. This was the first trip we had ever had as a mother and daughters weekend, so we were excited and nervous. They had to stand outside the store as there were 4 other people fighting about the same thing, leaving a very bad taste to our day. My kids were nervous and hot and there whole planned day was completely ruined. Ubers were not working due to I believe metro pulling them over so it took us 45min to get to thrifty and then had to order uber back to our accommodation ALL OF THIS AT A ADDED COST. On receiving no help I walked out and burst into tears out of frustration and disappointment. I have still to hear from someone from Thrifty, they were quick to debit my credit card but then left me and my daughter stranded. Disgusted. Dawn

Contract notice given to Altech as contract was up. Notice given on the 16th May, when I went into Altech a few days later Kershan that works at Altech had not read my email and it had not been sent through , he has not been very helpful nor clearly done his job correctly . I was desperate to move to vodcom as there service and reception is better. Vodcom tried to port the number a few times with no success as the notice was not put through as requested by myself by Altech.When port request came back each time the network declined the port. Today I went to try port to vodcom again and again it was declined. I was told my phone was transferred to prepaid and was able to be ported. So once again vodcom tried to port and about 1hour later my phone went dead and my number then said the number you have dialed does not exist I then sat at the Hillcrest branch Altech and was eventually helped by a really helpful lady Vanessa who then informed me that my number no longer existed on the networks it had been completely deleted. This is a huge problem for me as my whole business for the last 20 years has run through my cell phone and my number. This is my livelihood. I am devastated.
