Anyone who can help me legally against this company. I was involved in an accident 16/April /2022 with this company's client and after all documents was forwarded to them for months they went awol. After a long time then they contact me demanding damages to their car🤷🏽♂️. How so because their client was wrong. I asked if they received the AR they said so but I can email it to them. I did so for sometime they went quite then suddenly they wanted to distance themselves from the incident claiming that's not their car. How because it's them who contacted me and wanted me to pay damages to their car but suddenly it's not theirs any more. So they went awol again after I proved the car is theirs and after sometime they resurface with letters of demand. Now this time the report has been turned around am now the guilty part but the AR report can't be changed even if they can twist the story.

I hired thier car on my birthday last year August from 19 to 22,I put deposit of R6k.To date I never got it back.i went to bank several times to do reconciliation with the help of attendants there,they couldn't match any amount coming into my account according to Thrifty statement that they unblocked the money.They even tried to match with 14 days from the day they said hv unlocked the money.Nothing.Their service is poor and not helpful at all.Once you call to log enquiry on your money they take you from pillar to post,sometimes make you hold for longest time and never come back to you.

They don't mind loosing customers over their policy 14 days deposit pay back.. Whilst they have received the car in perfect working condition.. I hope this company fails for a lack of better words to find..

Worst company ver unprofessional and unethical had an incident with one of their clients who had super insurance and caused the accident and they didn't have any communications for months on end only after going to court twice they reply and they ddnt pay out before the court date leading to him to have to pay me personally I wasted to much money chasing them around with airtime emails posts petrol everyday no replies they lie they rude put the phone off in our ears and they are quite rude and can't handle their business properly do better thrifty and don't take people's money if you not going to cover time just as fast as u expect them to pay

So easy for them to take your money and keep it as a hold, But such a hustle to get the deposit back. No explanation. You are killing your business with so many bad reviews. It’s been a full month since the car was returned and no explanation why the hold is not paid back.

I am absolutely devastated by the service of thrifty Cape town Greenpoint. I am still waiting for my PAID FOR CAR HIRE and I am back in Durban already after having to Uber all of Sunday of which ubers were scarce and having to use a driver to bring myself and my daughter to the airport this morning AT A ADDITION COST. I booked a car rental last week with thrify and paid in full before hand. I went to collect the car yesterday in an uber, driving with both my young teenage girls. I then got to the branch in Greenpoint to be told there is NO cars and there wont be probably till after 1pm..... I was also told there were about 7 people waiting for the same car!!!!!!!! how is this possible. THE RUDE MAN BEHIND THE COUNTER THEN OFFERS ME A WORK VAN......... WHAT THE HELL!!!!! We had plans for lunch my girls and I, and we had made reservations on a waiting list and then received the call that they had a space however we couldn't get there. This was the first trip we had ever had as a mother and daughters weekend, so we were excited and nervous. They had to stand outside the store as there were 4 other people fighting about the same thing, leaving a very bad taste to our day. My kids were nervous and hot and there whole planned day was completely ruined. Ubers were not working due to I believe metro pulling them over so it took us 45min to get to thrifty and then had to order uber back to our accommodation ALL OF THIS AT A ADDED COST. On receiving no help I walked out and burst into tears out of frustration and disappointment. I have still to hear from someone from Thrifty, they were quick to debit my credit card but then left me and my daughter stranded. Disgusted. Dawn
