Worst Building Contractor to walk this Planet
To start off, wish I could select more options in the Nature Box. Including Bad Attitude, Breach of contract, Late/No delivery, and and.. Nicholas (Nick) van der Merwe, operates under Cape West Holdings. https://www.capewest.net/contact-us He provides you with a Quote for Building/Renovations, Cape Town area (and apparently also in Durban and JHB according to his website). Only a extra Room with paving around, and external Sliding gate needed to be done at my property. After 5 Months the project is still not complete. Leaving me hanging and having to deal with Contractors coming to me to get paid as Nick does not reply to any of them. He scammed me completely. The Job should have only taken 5 weeks from foundation (Beginning May), and 4 months down the line still incomplete...., and whatever he has finished looks like ****! (I have all photos) We had different contractors nearly every week at our property, UNSUPERVISED, and one of them threatened my wife to come at night and break down all if he didn't get paid. As have 4 other contractor during the last 8 weeks (including the electrician last week). He picks up casuals and put them in charge, with total disrespect for the client's safety. I gave him more than enough time and tried to be patient, but he has left me no option but to expose him. There are too many things to mention, and I can write a short story about this guy, but to keep it simple: AVOID ANY BUSINESS WITH NICK VAN DER MERWE, he is very well spoken, and seem very intellegent initially, only to ***** you at the end. And then start mentioning Lawyers/SAPS and come up with all kinds of regulations to shift blame to his contractors. He's a Liar, unethical snake, leaving his contractors without paying them. Luckily I still owe him some money, but less than what it will cost to complete the project, So I'm loosing. Once Nick replies to this Review, I will then reply with Full details up to now dealing with him, and all the problems he has caused. He will be all over Social media if he does not rectify all in the next couple of days.

No Customer service at all
I ordered a mild steel 4mm sheet, as per Shahied they needed 5 days to get this done, although I could have had the sheet the next day from other companies, I chose Vulcan as they looked the most professional, since I accepted and Paid for in full for the sheet on the 3rd of Nov, i have had no responce or follow up at all! On the 5th day i went to collect as no one came back to me. Shahied asked me to wait 10 minutes. I waited just to be told they have no stock and that the sheet was bent so he will call me in the afternoon. Obviously he didnt call me. I called him the next morning (6 working days) and with a seriously bad attitude he told me he's busy and cannot call 10 customers at the same time and the stuff will be ready in the week. I really hope they record their phone calls. Its now the 15th Nov and still waiting for any kind of feedback. Shahied is completely incompatent and I'm sure he gets paid on commision basis so he might only be focussed on huge jobs. It looks like a great company and I'm sure they are not that bad, just need to get rid of the tag alongs giving the company a bad name.<br> .

Awesome Service from Prepaid24 CONSISTANTLY
