Who does not want proper Durban spices without the expense of going to Durban? I would like to introduce you to the Spice Bazaar in Bergvliet. It is like having Gorimas (a well known spice shop in Durban) right on your doorstep. You SMELL the spices before you enter the store. That is an indication that the spices are very good. The variety of spices, confectionary and other delights of the palate often leaves me spending more than I intended. Whenever I feel like having taste of home, I head off to the Spice Bazaar. Like their business card says, their spices are a combination of unique blends and incredible flavours. Now the staff are the loveliest people you will ever come across. They are professional and offer very helpful advice. They are also willing to cater to your special requests. The store is very well laid out and appealing to the eye. I promise you, you will not be disappointed with the Spice Bazaar. I invite you to try them out :)
On 20 February 2021, I placed an order for a 4.5m or 5m inlet pipe for my series 4 washing machine from the service center in Johannesburg. I outlined in detail why I needed this length of pipe. They confirmed that they do have such an item in stock. I was advised that it would 2 weeks as it has to come from Germany. I was sent an invoice (R424.99) stating my request for an inlet pipe (the pipe length was no stated). I did not take too much notice of it as I thought that my request was clear enough. After payment I received a delivery within the same week. When I opened my parcel, I found that it was the standard pipe that was delivered. I complained by calling and emailing the service center in Johannesburg about receiving the wrong order and that said order must please be collected - but it fell on deaf ears. I tried one last time on 19 April 2021. I advised that the wrong order had still not been collected. I again placed an order for a 4.5m or 5m pipe. I received an invoice (R928.05) for a pipe extension (no length stipulated). I queried this and said that I do not want a pipe extension I just want one pipe. Today I was advised that they could not help me. The wrong order was surprisingly collected on 19 April 2021. I say surprisingly as I was told that it would only be collected once I had paid for my new order and it was delivered - then the exchange would take place. I am really shocked by the service I have received from Bosch. I really held them in high esteem. I am sadly disappointed in them. I have a house full of band new Bosch products. Is this the type of service I am going to expect in the future? I really hope not but my first experience with the Service Centre leaves very little to be desired. Regards ..... SHARON MCKENZIE
If you every want to taste beer with a difference, try the IPA at the Patiala in the Constantia Emporium. I highly recommend it. My friend and I had been there four times for lunch and we just feel that we are treated better each time. It feels like going to the home of an old friend and enjoying their hospitality with not a care in the world. The food is really delicious. We are never disappointed with any dish we have tried. The staff really offer you a special service.
I needed to have my wool carpet and rabbit fur mats cleaned. I would like to commend a job well done. The first surprise, the staff arrived exactly on time. Not only were the staff professional but they were also polite and accommodating. They did their job with such care. I was really impressed with them and their work. I highly recommend them.
Occasionally I have the opportunity to enjoy the custom of a 5-star establishment. However, I was very pleasantly surprised by the way my friend and I were treated from the moment we entered the premises till the time we left. We had decided to end a very enjoyable day for drinks at The Cellars by having a couple of ****tails and something light to eat. The staff were delightful yet dignified in their conversation with us. We really felt as if we were the only customers that they were serving. Our appearance did not make them treat us any differently. Often my friend and I will encounter visible snootiness of staff when or if they detect that the bill may not be large and thus not worth their time. I would really like to commend Robyn, the evening duty manager. She was not only kind, professional but also humble - that is such a rare combination - so please take care of her ..... she is gold. Then lastly, my sinuses were giving me trouble during the evening which leaves one a bit disoriented and I thus forgot my cellphone when we left the hotel. I only realized that my phone was at the hotel when I was getting ready for bed. When I called the next morning, I was told that my phone was in the safe. I can add staff honesty to the list of accolades! My life was on my phone. So, thank you, thank you, thank you to the staff of The Cellars-Hohenort Hotel. Our experience was perfect in every way and it made us want to linger a bit longer. Your service will be remembered for a very long time.
A friend and I had the privilege of spending a weekend at Orange-Ville Guesthouse in Stellenbosch. The owners have a small cozy and well run establishment. Our hosts treated us well and were quite accommodating. Their advice on what to do and where to go was much appreciated. The accommodation was fantastic. The part I loved the most was the views we were privileged enough to enjoy. Thank you for your professionalism, it was much appreciated. All in all, I would recommend Orange-Ville to everyone who needs to escape the crowds but still enjoy first class treatment. Thank you Hardy and Steffie Gloess. Kathrina and I enjoyed our stay. I am writing on behalf of an aged neighbour. Her name is Caral Pharo. She is 84 years old. She cares for a disabled son and her sick brother. About 4 months ago Caral approached a Telkom branch in Kenilworth Centre and requested that her landline be disconnected and replaced with the R199 cellphone contract. When she went to collect her phone, she was advised that the Huawei phone was not in stock. She went a couple of days later to see if the phone was in stock and was told that the R199 deal was no longer valid. They offered her a Samsung on the R299 freeme contract deal. She asked that her current sim card number 073 325 7778 be maintained. She was told that as she had no fingerprints left on her fingers, she would have to wait 10 days re fraud check. This meant that Caral was without telephonic contact for 10 days. The fraud check revealed that she had a clean record. Two weeks ago, she was advised that her sim became faulty due to loadshedding. She was advised that she needs a new sim card and that a fraud check was again required as she has no fingerprints. The previous fraud check was no longer valid as it was older than 3 months. Caral advised them that she cannot be without telephonic contact for 10 days. She was given a temporary sim card 067 288 1678 on 12 December 2019. She dealt with Wade and Quassiem. She was told by Quassiem that he cannot assist her adequately as the information is on Wade's computer. At present Caral is having to buy unnecessary airtime for the temporary sim card. To-date, her complaint is still not resolved. Her friends do not know the new number that she has. This makes her feel very defenseless and helpless. She is being given the runaround by staff who may be too lazy to solve an old and very vulnerable woman's problem. Telkom, this is not the way to treat old people. Also, there must also be way to resolve the matter of those who have no fingerprints - many old people have no fingerprints. They cannot be made to feel like criminals. Caral's driver's license states that she has no fingerprints. Please resolve Caral's problem TODAY and reimburse her for the unnecessary airtime that she purchased. Regards ..... SHARON MCKENZIE
We were a group of 5 friends who spent a fantastic weekend in July this year in one of the De Hoop Farm Cottages in Tulbagh. The De Hoop Cottage was clean, neat and very appealing. The 2-day weekend was so relaxing, it seemed to go on forever. We enjoyed the tranquility of the farm and its surroundings. For city dwellers, the silence was very loud. It amused to hear the sheep break the silence as we mostly know noise. Everyone we encountered on the farm was polite and courteous. We will definitely recommend you to our friends. Thank you Elaine - we are happy we found this gem :)
My report dated 11 September 2015 refers. Planet Fitness responded on 14 September indicating that they would get someone to address this matter with me. Today is 22 September 2015 and as yet, no-one has contacted me. It appears that no one will, as on 15 September 2015, the same young boy of school-going age was in the ladies change-room. The parent/guardian was no where to be seen. I find this situation so disrespectful on so many levels. My request to Tarique to put up signage advising clients not to bring boys of school-going age and older into the ladies change-room is not an unreasonable request. Perhaps Tarique enjoys being watched by impressionable young girls as he gets dressed or undressed. Perhaps he considers the moral values of others as of no importance or consequence. Tarique is a Muslim man and modesty is one of the core values in the Muslim religion - I guess Tarique does not subscribe to that.
My name is Sharon and I am a client of Planet Fitness in Claremont for 5 years. On and off I have spoken to the various managers about young boys entering the ladies change rooms. I have spoken to the women who bring their sons/grandsons into the changerooms. Some of these boys are of school-going age. I do not think it is proper for boys from about 5 years old onward to be present . There are young girls, old women, women who are very conscious of their weight, etc in various stages of undress. These young boys are privy to scenes that are not morally good for them. I addressed this matter with Tarique a couple of months ago. He agreed with me re putting up signage outside the ladies changeroom and would to talk to the reception staff who would advise members. Last night, another school-going boy was in the ladies. My request is not serious enough for Planet Fitness to act on. I wonder how would the men react if fathers brought their daughters into the mens change room. Plant Fitness, please respect us as women. My request is not unreasonable. Tarique, as a muslim man, I thought you would have been more considerate of my reqeust as modesty is a large part of the muslim faith.
