I placed an order qith takealot and selected the delivery date based on when I needed the item and where I would be to receive the collection. As soon as I confirmed the order the confirmation confirmed an alternative delivery date. The moment I saw this I contacted support trying to change the delivery date, address or cancel the order. I was just told outright that NO changes can be made to the order. I was also advised that once the item is shipped, only then can I make changes to the order, which was also untrue. I am fuming at this situation. What is the point of being able to select a delivery date if Takelot just changes it. What was also ironic is that I received a followup mail asking to rate the service I received. And when I followed the link it was already closed. Pathetic service.
We were keen to give the Barrel a try so we met up with some friends for a pub lunch. After having a drink we attempted to order some food. We were informed that all they could offer was chicken strips and chips as they were out of stock of everything. With no options we ordered and the most disgusting meal ever landed in front of us. For the time we were there we got offered more drinks only once. I can usually excuse this if the place was packed, but the 3 groups of people in the place was hardly enough to keep the 3 wait staff busy. As a matter of fact the 3 was constantly standing around chatting actively avoiding the gaze of customers. After we finished our meal a bakkie laden with raw food arrived and started offloading. So at least there will be food for a dinner rush, that being said raw meat on the back of an open bakkie on a rather hot sunny day I pity anyone brave enough to eat here. Awful experience.
Placed an online order for delivery from Strubens Valley branch. The delivery date came and went. I mailed to followup. No response. Phoned the help line and eventually got a call from the branch directly. The excuse for not delivering is that their system shows stock, but they can't find it. Asked why they couldn't be bothered to phone and notify me and their response was that they didn't know it was that urgent. The lack of action and apathy around the situation in infuriating. And to crown it, the return of my payment will take 5 working days.
I purchased a Nintendo Switch product online and requested it to be delivered to a locker. This was near the beginning of July with delivery scheduled for the 26th of July. The deadline xame and went with no feedback. On the 31st I contacted the helplone and it was confirmed the package has been ready for shipping from the store for a while. I was promised a call back before cob. On the 1st I phoned again and got the same story again, an apology for not coming back to me and again a promise of feedback before cob. Well office hours are now over and Ive got no feedback. This was my first time purchasing from Makro online and it is pathetic. At this stage Id rather just want my mkney back and I'll go and support a more trustworthy retailer.
On Thursday the 31st of March I launched a legal query on the Legal Wise website supplying them with all my relevant contact details and a detailed account of my query. The website stated that I will be contacted within 48 hours. I was copied into an e-mail from [Email Removed] to [Email Removed] on the 31st shortly after my query was launched. Since then I have followed up on my query to both before mentioned e-mail addresses with not a hint of feedback. Today was the last straw and I contacted Legal Wise asking for them to send me details on how to cancel my subscription as their service is pathetic...and naturally no feedback. I think it's shocking how they will gladly take my money every month yet when I attempt too make use of their services once in 5 years I receive absolutely no help, not even an acknowledgement that my query is being looked at.
I received a Takealot advert on my Facebook Wall. It advertised a discount code that could be used with your first app. purchase if you installed the phone app. for the first time. I followed the link supplied and installed the app. and proceeded to add items to my basket and checkout, upon which my code didn't work. I reported it to Takealot to which I was first told the promo ended end August. Then when I complained about being spammed with old adverts on Facebook, I was told they were mistaken and the code is still valid. Several e-mails later and this issue is still not resolved. It's the customer service level from Takealot that saw me take my business to another online shop more than a year ago. Please Takealot, come back to me with a solution. To answer all questions. Yes, I'm using the app to make the purchase. Yes, it is the first time I'm attempting to use the code. And Yes, I am adhering to the minimum spend as stipulated in the advert.
