Worst service ever. Don't use their service. They messed up with my cancelllation request of a month to month Home router and I am in big trouble. They collected my device and sent it to MTN a month ago. They didn't follow the correct procedures while doing that. Now MTN is refusing to cancel the contract because they can't track the device. I lost the device and the sum card but still getting billed. When I go to the shop they just nod their head. Useless service.
I have a very horrible experience with MTN store at Mall of Mthatha ( BT Ngebs Mall). People work there are very unprofessional, rude, stubborn, not willing to learn or change, not customer friendly and not helpful. I approached the store to cancel a month to month home router contract in August. I got the advise from MTN customer service that month to month contracts are supposed to be canceled at the store. I returned my router in its original package and they accepted it and said they will book for cancelation. Also gave me an IRMS number. Two days later they sent the router back to MTN. It was done on the 18th of August. I contacted customer service several time and I am told that the store must cancel contract completely at their system. I went back to the store and relayed this message to them. They refused to do that saying that, they do not have that information from MTN. I called customer service while standing at the store and and they spoke over the phone even the store manager. They didn't agree to reach a concensus in this and still refused to cancel my contract. This excersise was repeated after a week and still these people are not willing to agree to their own company policies. It is making my life difficult as MTN continue to bill me for September and October while the router and simcard is back to them. I called an MTN store in Eastlondon and asked for advise. They also confirmed that what customer service is saying the correct information. Month to month contracts are supposed to be canceled at the store. Not telephonically. These people at Mthatha MTN store are deliberately doing this because they don't like customers who take contracts telephonically and they are not willing to assist. I am in deep trouble with this as I have returned the router at this specific store, I am unable to get help from another store. They are also care less because when they typed the IMEI number of the router on the Shipping document they made a mistake. I advise people not to use the service from MTN store in Mthatha Mall. Very bad service.
I have very bad experience with their customer service team. I have been a customer for a month to month home router contract with MTN since 2024. Recently, i signed a new contract with MTN telephonically and the router was delivered to me this week. Ever since I signed the new contract I have been asking for help through their customer service in order to cancel the existing contract. They referred me to the nearest MTN shop and instructed me to return the device and get an IMRS number and contact the cancellation department and request the cancellation. I had to call different numbers and upto now no proper communication has been given to me concerning my cancellation. They give you misinformation. The MTN shop itself that I visited complaining about these customer service employees. They are rude, not ready to listen to the customer queries, no patience, not prepared to take any responsibility. The only time you get a friendly conversation is when they want to sell their products. After sales they dump their customers into dust bin. They dont care about their customers. It is a total disrespectful treatment and misleading information. Good people, never use or buy any products from MTN. As customers we only know of MTN as their brand. But when it comes to cancellation they have different subdivisions that we were never told when the contract was purchased.
We took a photograph on 2 April 2025 at UCT after the graduation ceremony of my daughter. An application was filled and R200 was paid before the photos were taken. Upto now, we haven't received the photos. Several emails and phone calls were made but all in vain. No success. I lost R200. Dont believe them. They acknowledged the payment via email. Still no photos. What is the delay? No one knows. Most of the time they are not reachable. Big ****.
Worst service that I ever had. No proper client support. No response to emails.
Very professional and committed team
she assisted me telephonically to take out the insurance policy for my car and household contents and it went on successfully and her attitude was excellent.
