Medway is a scam. I am paying for a Gap cover for over 10 years. I was not able to claim from the cover when I went for a procedure in 2018. There were many hospital records which I was asked to access. This made it impossible to claim from the policy. In November 2022 I noticed a new deduction from Medway whilst the Gap Cover was still being deducted. When I enquired about this, I was informed that this was a funeral cover associated with the Gap Cover. This was done without my permission. I subsequently emailed a cancelation to them and followed this email up with 2 phone calls and a What's App message on their What's App help line. I have received neither a confirmation of my cancelation nor have I received any reply to my What's App query. I am an Educator with the KZN provincial Education Department. The deductions are being made from my salary and not my bank. Therefore the cancelation of the Debit order from my salary has to be done via the Education Departments Persal system.
I have been a customer of Telkom for the past 26 years and I am utterly disgusted with their service. I recently switched from LTE to FIBER. The technician did his best to explain to me the billing dates and the pro-rata fees. However, I was not advised by Telkom to cancel the old contract. I was under the impression that Telkom upon installing the FIBER will automatically effect the cancellation of my LTE. This did not take place and Telkom continued to bill me for both lines. Upon enquiring about this at the Telkom Service Centre in Chatsworth, I was told that I must pay the amount that is overdue (at a PEP Store); wait for the amount to reflect in my account; and then come in again to cancel. Once I cancel then only can I dispute the amounts billed on my statement. This process is absolutely inconvenient for me, as I need time off from work to sort out. Moreover such a procedure is not Covid friendly since I have to stand in 3 queues to sort out 1 problem. MR Jay Pillay
Extremely Unreliable I have made an online purchase order no. #11831 from this company in July. During this time I have sent 3 emails regarding the shipment of my purchase to which I have received no reply except for an AI response from their computer. This is totally unacceptable especially in a growing online market like SA, such flybynight fraudulent companies that cannot deliver on their advertising promises should be prosecuted and not allowed to operate. Payfast should suspend their account until all customers have been properly serviced. Taking money from the public intentionally without rendering a service is criminal. I am still awaiting a response from the store. However my patience is running thin. I would like a proper response from this company asap. Mr Jay Pillay
