Hellopeter has begun removing negative reviews from company profiles. I imagine this is as a result of money changing hands. What is the point then?
Oneplan might offer good service with their suite of customer service tools, but it is all a facade. They will consistently argue on every single claim, and will do their best to nickel and dime you. You will never be fully covered for anything, even if that cover is a part of your policy - they will find some flimsy excuse to not cover in full. When contacting their claims department, they don't even bother to put much effort into their excuses. Great service, lousy coverage and claims success rate.
Hidden costs EVERYWHERE. It's ridiculous actually. If you can go with someone else, do it. These guys will nickel and dime you for everything you're worth and then take 3 months to release the absolutely nonsense hold they put on funds. Be very aware.
Tried to contact Discovery Insure and went through the whole process of entering my ID number and PIN. When I finally got through, no one bothered to say anything to me on the phone. I could hear "Good morning guys" and laughter in the background.
I previously enjoyed what I thought was a good relationship with Discovery Bank, coupled with strong service and a good digital offering. I even went so far as to move my vehicle insurance and my medical aid to them. That was all shattered by the treatment I received when applying for a personal loan. I was at first approved for almost what I needed, but then when the decision was challenged, Discovery showed their true colours. I had accusations, that are provably and undeniably false, hurled at me. I was treated like less than, with customer service and officers that refused to listen. I would even go so far as to call it offensive. This is a bank that will lure you in with smiles and false promises, and then abandon you when it suits them best. Go with anyone else, at least they arehonest upfront. I am incredibly disappointed, and feel I have no choice but to move away from the Disvoery ecosystem in it's entirety.
Abysmal service, despite years upon years of loyalty. I received items that were packaged terribly, I mailed them upon receipt to inform them, alongside my mail were images of the packaging. I told them that I would get in touch should I experience any issues with the hardware. I have since then been ignored and turned away. This is a deplorable and ******* company that does not care about the consumer, only their wallet. There are many other retailers that actually care about you as the customer, give them a go. Evetech just needs to close, it seems to be occupied with truly awful people.
Absolutely pathetic organisation. I have been with them for 20 years and will now move everything I have with them over to a new bank. Their internet banking facilities are always down, they do not bother to reply to the email addresses listed, their support lines are garbage and staggeringly ***********. This is the worst bank in South Africa, go elsewhere. Save yourself the trouble. Move if you are with them, it is worth it.
Absolutely shocking insurance experience. I have been trying for days to get a hold of someone, but the helpline doesn't work, and you just get bounced from agent to agent until the line goes dead. Enbi is useless as well and freezes regularly. I have never experienced such shocking service from an insurance provider. Absolutely abysmal, no one knows what they're doing.
Onepet is a pointless insurer. They blatantly game and ignore facts of a claim to avoid payouts. It is utterly ridiculous, and completely defeats the purpose of getting pet insurance as they will refuse to pay out completely legitimate claims. I am hugely disappointed. Get your pet insurance elsewhere, OnePlan has no intention of paying out legitimate claims.
When it comes to getting an internet connection in South Africa, you are unfortunately always guaranteed the absolute worst customer service. I've had an order for a line open for almost 2 months now, and Vumatel has yet to activate the line. No one ever tries to help, and you are treated with disdain for ever daring to contact them to resolve the issue. Vumatel happens to be the worst of the fibre line providers. Your emails and phone calls will get ignored for days on end, and you will be reprimanded for showing even the slightest bit of irritation. They will accept all your documentation then come back and claim they never accepted it. They will mess you around for weeks on end and blame you for it. They will start and stop, then restart and stop, then ignore you. If you have any other options besides a line with Vumatel, I strongly suggest you take that route. Even if you manage to contact a sales person, it usually just means that they will ignore you.
