Paid for jewelry and never received it. Mailed them no reply
On November 27th 2020 we went to a lunch at Hotel Sky, had booked in via the website to stay for the night, but then enjoyed it so much decided to stay for another night. We presented our credit card to reception who (unbeknown to us wrote down the credit card number along with our cell number) . On Saturday 28th when we tried to use the card discovered it was blocked. So when we phoned Discovery bank we were told that they suspected fraud so blocked the card but not before R51 000 had been taken. We later discovered that a sim swop had also been done at the i store in Cape town waterfront, between 11:30 and 12:30 .We reported all of this to hotel security The receptionist was questioned at Hotel Sky and failed the polygraph. But still nothing was done by the hotel. We then took out a police case. Discovery bank would not reverse the transactions as they say they had the one time pin. Mtn say the sim swop is not their problem . How is it possible to do a sim swop in a completely different part of the country and what were the security checks. I am sick of having the "big guys" think it is OK to intimidate the little people. It is almost a year now and I firstly hold Hotel Sky responsible then Discovery then Mtn. But all three together what a lethal combination.
I have a standard bank insurance in place since I purchased my house 20 years ago. I submitted an insurance claim in July 2021 which has still not been resolved. In the cold weather my solar panel for my geyser burst so I had to re-coverts my old geyser back to a normal geyser as Stand bank said no plumber had the solar panels. In spite of me now being able to get a new solar panel and sending the quote to them, they still will not respond. So for that last 3 months I have had to pay Eskom to power my hot water and not solar.
I need more data on my adsl. I went onto Telkom website (as they are my service or lack of provider) and filled in all sorts of enquirers for someone to call me back. Never happened. In the meantime I contacted Afrihost and within 5 minutes had everything in motion. All I had to do was contact Telkom to migrate my adsl into a holding section where Afrihost would move within 2 to 3 days. Telkom then in their wisdom cancelled my whole line. We spoke to them on 3 seperate occasions confirming that only the adsl would be disconnected but to not avail. This morning I had a phone and adsl and now I have nothing. I have to now apply for a new land line!I visited the Hatfield branch and after getting no help insisted on speaking to the supervisor. She came out very aggressively and none too helpful. Even thought the call centre had made a mistake .... it is me who will now suffer. <br> My suspicion is that I am now made to \pay"for moving from Telkom to Afrihost. So... word to the wise. If you ever think about migrating from Telkom as your service provider prepare yourself to wait 30 days \""punishmnet\"" time."""
