Takealot seems to have suffered an IT glitch that affected my order. I cancelled the order before I realized that something had gone wrong. Contacting customer support proved to be impossible. All I needed was an email address that I could I explain what had happened. They do not provide that.
I ordered a variety of items and when it arrived one was missing. I emailed them (after 5pm) and the missing item was delivered the next day. You just don't get service like that in SA! I am a frequent customer here and now you see why.
I recently upgraded my contract and found R79.99 screen insurance added to the account. I contacted them immediately and was told that it was a once off payment paid by Vodacom and was reflecting as a credit on my account. Screen insurance Ref: 000J~JVPK. The monthly deduction did not include the monthly insurance amount so I gave no further thought. I have just received the next bill and the insurance is back on both accounts that I hold with vodacom. I did not authorise screen insurance. It is not part of my contract. Vodacom simply added it to the account and took the money with the next debit.
