Avoid their service wherever possible. Phone was sent in via MTN Insurance November 2023 got it back November still and mentioned that the phone was replaced with non-original LCD as my fingerprint sensor was no longer present in the phone options. It had a on display fingerprint reader. After struggling to get the phone to be collected the second time to fix the issues that Idroid created. (no fingerprint reader, back cover not closed properly), it got collected in January 2024. After trying to follow up for weeks with no feedback from anyone, now on the 4th of March I find out that the phone is beyond economical repair... Phone was working fine just needed to have LCD originally repaired as the LCD was cracked, not 4months later is not repairable. I would not trust Idroid Labs with any device. They do not care for your device and take their own time.
Iam writing this to warn others of the issues within MTN especially their MTN Device Insurnace. I have a device that I haven't been able to use for the last 4 months going to be the 5th soon. Logged claim on 1 November 2023, device get repaired with the incorrect LCD causing that my fingerprint reader no longer be present and i require this for some apps that I have else I can't use them anymore. Notify MTN about this as soon as I tried to setup the phone again on the 27th of November 2023. Device only gets collected on the 23rd of January 2024 with me trying to follow up daily on the progress with promises that went nowhere. Since the device is at the repair center, I'm getting no joy and no feedback. so not my device is by iDroid Lab and seems like they took a change by repairing with cheaper LCD to safe cost or something. So now I have been paying insurance on a device I have not been able to use since November and still no getting updates from MTN.

seems like MTN don't really care for their customers. I logged a repair claim with MTN Insurance on the 4 December 2019 waited for MTN and for response, on the 14th they asked for the axcess amount of r150, paid this on the same day and sent to them the pop. sent them the collection address also on the same day and they confirmed that they found it on the system. now from here I kept on having to call MTN for pickup dates with different promises from each different call operator. the phone was then only picked up on the 10Jan with excuses that shipping co's where closed... On the 13th Jan 2020 was told that the device would be assessed by the repair team the next day... now after this is have been getting mixed responses from the call centre agents and again I have to be the one following up regarding the progress of the repair. now on the 21st was sent an email that the device is in Quality control and will be sent out to me Wednesday or Thursday, (this didn't happen) I had to call again and was told they will definitely deliver it Friday before 5pm,(also didn't happen) I called again and was promised it will be delivered at my home address Saturday(well no surprise, this also didn't happen) Now Monday the 27th I get totally different answers, now apparently the device has not been repaired as the quote has not been accepted by some MTN person, so MTN has been lying to me about the delivery? so how does thigs work at this emptyN, full of empty promises to try keep customers?
I would just like to inform all the of this bank Capitech. I would advice you all to stay clear of them as they really do not care about people. Money was stolen from one of the ladies working with me and the bank is not trying or willing to help her. She tried to draw money from the bank and her card didn't come out and the bank wasn't doing anything so she tried to call the help line to have no help on the other end. She has visited the bank and they are all blaming it on her, how could it be her fault if your ATM is compromised. I think this needs to be taken to the papers. her ref number is : ********** 0, please do not just replay that someone will contact us and have no such done.
I just cant understand how Vodacom branded my phone without my permission. All I did was test someone's sim in my phone and on start up now I have Vodacom branding all over my phone. I have apps I can never uninstall unless I try load new android onto the phone. I don't want to just disable them I want them to be gone, that is why I'm not a Vodacom contract or pay as you go user. so what happened to permission request for something like that? Wonder how Vodacom would feel if I just started going to their shops and brand their stores to something else? I hate Vodacom for this reason, wonder if they even care to respond to this. regards, Solly
<p>Im having a run around with MTN regarding claiming for broken LCD on my LG G4.</p> <p>I have logged the claim on the 26th July 2016 and they have confirmed that the claim doc have been recieved and ill get a call from their courier co on the 11 August and still nothing after many emails to them.</p> <p> </p> <p>they give you a numbe that one can get hold of them that is ********** but it gives you an option to press 0 to speak to someone, but it will tell you that you have not made a invalid choice...</p> <p> </p> <p>i dont see why im still with MTN as their service is the worst and there are no signs of it ever improving.</p>
I applied for a add-on contract to my existing account where I have 3 contracts on it.<br> This was don't on the 27th of November in Centurion Mall 1st floor shop.<br> I had followed up with the store regarding the feedback about a week later but was told that the lady that did my contract application would call me, but nothing. I was away for about a week.<br> when I came back I made a visit to the shop, was then told that the add-on was cancelled due to to long open on the system? how can that be, well the store couldn't give me any info, only said I had do redo it all again? why?<br> <br> please contact me and give me an explanation to why this would be.<br> the contract I wanted to add was for a yoga tab 2 on 2Gb for R209<br>
