16 September 2024 I asked on our local WhatsApp group for assistance with repairing a Phillips Airfryer. JP of JP Appliance Mechanic contacted me and made an appointment for the next day. He advised that he lives in Table View but services Gordons Bay and surrounding areas as well. He arrived the next day with his nephew Tristan and took the air fryer apart, advised that the element needed to be repaired and took it with him. Mon 14 Oct - I followed up on progress and received an automatic reply that he is unavailable right now but will respond as soon as possible. 24 October - I asked for an update again. No reply. 30 October I called - no answer. 1 November I put a request on the WA group, and he apologized, advising that he was out of the country for a family emergency. He requested that i remove the bad review and that the bad Hellp Peter reviews were not him. 15 Nov - I followed up on WA no reply. 18 Nov - ditto. 19 Nov voicecall, no answer. 10 Dec - no answer to voice call, so I sent a WA saying that I am cancelling the arrangement as I have not heard from him To date he has not even read the WA or acknowledged it. 13 March 2025 and to date I have had no answer or return calls, the air fryer is in pieces, and I advise anyone wishing to use his services to use an alternative service provider.
Arrived for breakfast and placed three orders, two arrived and 10 min later had to remind the waitress, Thubisile, that the third order was still awaited. This arrived cold and looked unpalatable with baked beans thrown on top of the eggs and bacon. One tiny wedge of feta. No marmalade jam. Doggy bag never arrived. Manager unenthusiastic with no apology and did not offer his name. Avoid this place !! Folks at the next table also commented that the manager did not look apologetic.
What appalling unprofessionalism! They demand payment upfront to install a door - R4500 - in a rental flat which I own. Payment effected July and in November the tenant advises that the door is still not in. We assumed it had been sorted with the tenant and the business. The business maintains it is the tenant not coming back to them, however the tenant has WhatsApps to confirm that they advised that they would revert. Unbelievably bad service.
Payfast is a really efficient and simple method of making payment.
