WORSE THAN TERRIBLE SERVICE...MORE LIKE THEFT The service from this company is terrible.I see a horrible long time coming trend of entitlement as a rule in South African companies. It’s as if they are doing you a huge service by doing the bare minimum for your hard earned money. ACE GRINDING IS NO DIFFERENT. MY EXPERIENCE WITH THEM WAS AWFUL WHEN IT CAME TO ANY BACK UP SERVICE. When I bought my clippers and four pairs of new blades from them they were ever so efficient. However when it came to sending my blades to them via Postnet I heard nothing more I had to chase up what was happening at least four or five times more over the course of a few months! Eventually after my impatience wore thin they finally my blades were ready to send but first I had to pay the money. I asked for an invoice and they said no I had to pay the amount first, they only send out invoices on payment. Eventually I got an invoice and , It was a handwritten amount on a piece of paper over WhatsApp. My blades arrived and I was not going to use them until horse clipping season except that I have an older gelding whose hair is growing thicker than it should. He was washed beautifully that morning and when he was dry I proceeded to try and clip him. I could not clip one single hair! It was terrible! My blades were still clipping when I sent them for sharpening but I like to be fully ready for the next season. 2 Pairs of blades have only seen 12 clips in total!!!
Unfortunately the rude and bad service from Courier Guy who own Pudo rubs off. As mentioned in my bad review of Courier the Pudo Service is equally awful. I recently was waiting for a second package after receiving the first one after being notified by sms. The second parcel they decided to send an email instead and while I was checking my sms's I missed the email and so my package got sent somewhere else. Eventually it was tracked down and the box I received had been opened and was very battered. Luckily the items were not breakables. The service is backwards in the backwaters of The Western Cape.
I live in rural Cape Town and the Courier Guy is revolting to work with. The closest depot is 20-30min drive from me but they seem to think they are a Pudo Locker service and keep phoning to demand when you are going to pick up the parcel if it has been with them for more than a day! They are rude in their attitude and I will try very hard not to use them again.
We bought a DSTV Explorer and Wifi connector from Skye TV in December. On the 14th of January we asked Skye TV to install the new Decoder and LNB. All they had to do was plug in the Explorer and change the LNB (according to advice received on purchasing the Explorer so they sold us the LNB as well.

After the initial installation on the 14th of Jan they said to bring the machine into the shop to be activated after plugging in and starting the explorer for the first time ourselves only the audio and a visual of the banner was operational but no visual. I had to call Skye Tv again. I asked them to also bring a bigger dish after they said our current one should be fine for now. They arrived and fiddled with cables and started to blame in on our existing HDMI cable which had been working up till then 100% with our PVR....by the 21st of January we had still had no DSTV service. Finally taking matters into our own hands we took the Explorer back to the shop to be checked and sure enough it was the Explorer that was faulty. They refused to refund me the installation fee after they had sold me a faulty machine in the first place or of course for the botched installation.
