I had a very bad experience with Iwyze OLD MUTUAL. I had insurance with them for three years. Never claimed. When I tried to claim after 3 years they told me my excess was double than what reflected on the apllication/contract form so from R5000 it went up to R11 700. Then they phoned my husband and told him they made a mistake and we should've never been insured, that they were going to cancel the insurance, which my husband did not accept. The next thing they send us a cancellation letter that they will pay out all our premiums and cancel the Insurance. Soon after they call and say they made a msitake they shouldn't of sent the letter. How *********** and unprofessional. They make a mistake not once but twice!!!
So, after two months of debilitating with KING PRICE, regarding my geyser, they still won't pay me out. This is because they ROYAL INS don't have a burst geyser. Yet I've sent them photos. However because we took out the geyser from the roof their policy says the plumber must first check. We had been with cold water for 10days. REALY anyone would've asked the plumber just to replace it.
This Friday after seven days of showering in cold water my husband and I decided to install a new geyser at our expense. After the old geyser was removed our plumber noticed the geyser had actually burst. However you (KING Price) (The Royal Ins)(How can I make Your day ROYAL) is your motto, left us in cold water for seven days. With this being said you proceeded in those seven days to call our three times the plumber to: Raise the geyser temperature Install a thermostat(which was working) Install an element and investigate everything in my plumbing including my taps King Price was going to send the plumbers out today (Monday 20 JULY ) again to check for leaks How pathetic that the plumbers actually believed that the leak was so bad in my house (because we had cold water for seven days) that it would cause cold water to constantly pour into my geyser to that extent. Their reasoning is that you can't replace a geyser unless it has burst. How ironic it actually had! I have to add this to the complaints. The plumbers also stripped the drain****, which the second plumbers then found my geyser leaking onto the drip tray.
King Price is the worst company when it comes to claims. I have been waiting for a geyser claim for the last seven days. They have sent out the plumbers three times, one of them has actually left my drain **** leaking on my geyser. They have put in an element, two thermostats and one non return valve, All this and still no hot water. By now they could've put in a new geyser.
Seller sold house and provided a COC where work wasn't done. Estate Agent wiped his hands clean and passed the buck to the Lawyer Wendy Wiid-Visser at Gert Venter attorneys. Who also did nothing about it, said we should take it up with owner.
these same people are the ones operating Rand Solar from 14 Rhyn Avenue in Florida Glen (which is empty). They take peoples money and don't' ever come back and fit the solar panels or geyser, basically they are robbing everyone.
Rikus came to see us. We didnt' accept quote at first, then he reduced the quote at which we agreed on price. Insisted on 70% deposit, which we paid. It is now three weeks later we haven't seen them and we phone on a daily basis for our refund. Not responding to our calls and when they do, it's because we call from different nos. They keep on promising to refund. Still waiting. Now we heard the R7000 is in a fixed deposit. Seriously???
