It seems like the only way to get any response back from Telkom Mobile is by complaining on here. I am in urgent need of a valid proof of purchase as Samsung doesn't accept proof of purchase with a handwritten date on it. For about 3 days now I've been phoning the customer care number and sales department non stop and about 90% of the time there's no answer. When they finally answer I get send through from one department to the next without anyone able to help me. All I need is a proof of purchase!

I have been a loyal customer of Telkom Mobile since 2014. Despite the bad signal in certain places I have always been happy with them until recently. In May 2016 I upgraded my cellphone contract online as all the stores NEVER seemed to have stock of any cellphones. During my telephonic conversation with a lady named Akhona I was assured that I would receive everything discussed via email regarding my upgrade. 2 days later I was very pleased to receive my cellphone via courier but still no email. No paper work was included in the delivery either. Now, 8 months later, my cellphone has a swollen battery and dies the moment I take it off charge. As you can imagine, this is EXTREMELY INCONVENIENT. Since I do not have any proof of purchase (which was supposed to be included in the email that I never received) I cannot take my phone into Samsung for repairs and a new battery will cost me about R700. I decided to go to my closest Telkom Mobile branch where I was met with disinterest and the words "I cannot help you if you didn't purchase it in this store". After argueing with the lady for a few minutes she agreed to phone Headoffice so that they can help me. I then had to hold on the line for about 15 min just to be told that they cannot find any record of my purchase and was advised to phone the sales department. I have phoned the sales department every single day for the last week and a half with absolutely no luck. Not even one of my calls have been answered. I feel like this is unacceptable as they didnt send me the agreeed upon documentation from the start and now it would seem that my only hope of getting my cellphone fixed will be if I cough up R700 which, in my opinion, is very unfair because why should I pay that amount because someone cannot do their job properly??

Bradford was very helpful and always replied to my emails and queries within an hour. I received wonderful service from him :)
I attended the metalfeast event hosted there on 27 Feb 2016. The whole day I've been paying R22 a beer (despite the bottles saying recommended selling price is R6, I understood they had to make a profit). Towards the end of the night, when the last band was playing I went to buy a beer for my friend in said band for when he is done. When i got to the bar a waitress asked me what I would like and I gave her my order of 1 beer. Whilst waiting for the barman I took out R22 just for the waitress to inform me that all of a sudden its R30 a beer. I told her but I've been paying R22 the whole day and all she had to say was that the prices increased the week before. I wasn't in the mood to argue so I gave her R30 and took the beer but that is ridiculous. As I was leaving she even had the cheek to click her tongue at me for not tipping her.
The reason I'm only reporting this now is because I mentioned it to a friend of mine that was also there that night and he told me that they charged him up to R35 a beer. I wonder how many other people the waiters conned that night and if this happens on a regular basis?
