Fellow community members who are looking for a solar service provider; please do your homework first. I have had what I was told is a "top of the range system" installed a few weeks ago. It malfunctioned after a few days. I waited three days for the company to replace the faulty parts and restore the system. A few weeks later and its broken again. The installer says that he is coming everyday and never arrives. The company owner and the installer, it appears, are not from the same company so they each blame the other ....... All the while, we sit without a functioning solar system. We were also advised to register our inverter with the supplier - well it turns out the that website for the supplier isn't functional. And we are still waiting for a compliance certificate....its been 8 weeks...... The reason provided by the company for the lack of a compliance certificate is that they have been out of town... The company that I used is called Eloise Solar and the electrical installer is David Nyatasana. Beware. We are out of pocket for ALOT of money with no solar.
Bought a size 5 shoe and they delivered a size 7. I immediately wrote to them to draw their attention to their delivery error and to the invoice which clearly indicated that I had ordered a size 5. They wrote back to me advising that I should create a video of the shoe, the packaging, the item details etc amongst other things. So, I should create a video and draft a lengthy report because THEY sent the wrong size?
I experienced problems with my UPS and called the UPS service centre closest to my home. This happened to be Powerman. I explained that I had not purchased my UPS at Powerman and was looking to repair my unit. The persona that I spoke to explained that they were able to service and repair non Powerman units and suggested that I bring the unit in. I did. Later, I received a call from Powerman to advise me that the unit was a competitors unit and that this competitor does not sell the spares for their units to them. He advised that I could collect my unit from them as they could not fix it. I then received another call from them advising me that were able to sell me one of their units. I refused their offer and went to their Honeydew premises. I was then advised that I would have to pay an "assessment" fee to them before they would release my unit to me. I asked why they did not tell me from the onset that they are unable to source parts for my unit. I was advised to speak to the manager, Tshwerelo, who agreed with me that the practice was unethical but nevertheless had to charge me the said fees. Both of his colleagues who overheard the conversation apologised and appeared embarrassed by this practise. It appress that Powerman encourages the public to bring their units in to be fixed even when they are aware that they are unable to fix it and use the opportunity to charge an "assessment fee" and to market their own units . Unethical and shameful behaviour that even their staff are embarrassed about!
Contracted Abijam to build a braai, paint and repaint and complete a few handman services around my house. The quality of work was so unbelievably bad that it was hard to believe that a "professional" company had been contracted to do it. When I advised them of their poor service, they refused to remedy it. When I posted pictures of the work that they undertook at my home on Facebook, they responded by saying that they would fix the work at their expense. The then instructed the guy that messed up my house to send me a text to tell me that he would come around to fix the job. I havent heard from them since and the repairs of their mess has still not been done. Stay away from these incompetant and rogue "builders" at all costs

I first wrote to Neotel's retentions department on 8 February 2016 at 11.01am requesting that they cancel my telephone and data services. Its been over three months and still I am unable to get them to cancel this service. I have resent the original email to their retentions department and still they will not cancel my service or even respond to my cancelation email. Potential customers please be aware; their data service is intermittent at best and once to contract with them, its impossible to cancel.
