My wife recently resigned at Department of Correctional Services due to victimisation, bullying in the workplace and abuse of power. She followed the prescribed grievance processes without any result.PSA Union of Choice in the western cape is dealing with her dispute but is dragging their feet .She wants to register a dispute for constructive dismissal but they are also dragging their feet .I feel helpless because what all this is doing to her,but she keeps on taking medication to keep her calm .She made a choice and had to take a job with a lesser income and that is adding to our financial strain because i am a pensioner .She suppresses everything to protect our 7 year old son not to pick up on what is happening .I don't know how to help her as thats why I'm writing this without her knowledge .

Be very careful before becoming a member of PSA. I was a member for some time, cancelled my membership and they stopped collecting membership fees through Dept of Education. Then after a year or so, from nowhere, started deducting membershipfees on my payslip. After MANY struggles, they stopped for a year or so, and now in July 2017 for 3 months, deducted fees again. And there is no way how they refund their illegal deductions of membershipfees. BEWARE before joining this Union called PSA.
