Rayno Beyers from PW plumbing was sent via an insurance claim to repair a leaking geyser. His brother, 17 year old Michael, has supposedly been working with him for years, but has not got a qualification yet, he did all the work. He installed a new geyser, but only later when I moved the furniture I noticed that the pipe against the wall was jutting out at an odd angle. Rayno had meanwhile convinced me to pay him for a solar water setup which also required them to paint the roof, I paid over R11 100 to buy all the parts. Then the excuses began, first it was supposed exposure to covid. One has sympathy but three weeks later he was doing other plumbing jobs, but not mine. Then it was apparently a blown head gasket on his vehicle - which took another three weeks, again he starts doing other plumbing jobs and ignores mine. When I demanded that he come and complete my work, he refused and said he would return the parts and refund my money. Unfortunately I trusted the man, and never saw any invoices! Although I have proof of having paid him and his agreement for doing this work. It is now another month later; I am in process with the courts - he decided unilaterally to pay the money back in drips and drabs a small amount once a week. I did not agree to this, how can he take my money and use it for himself!! Plus the work he did do is unfinished and not well done at all! In an effort to track him down, I discovered that apparently he is starting a new business called Cubix plumbing. BEWARE!

My insurance nominated PW plumbing to come and take care of an issue at my house, after a few delays and postponements Rayno arrived (without and tools etc) and assessed the problem, I was not totally in agreement with his advice but I am no expert so I agreed. They dug up my garden to replace a section of pipe that was supposedly causing the problem and advised that once the air was out of the pipe it would be fixed (it was not the same problem persisted). While they were there I asked them about a pressure valve that seemed to be dripping excessively, they advised that it needed to be replaced but i needed to pay them now in order for them to buy the part (which I did). Since then I have called repeatedly for them to come and install the pressure valve which I have paid for and to sort out the problem which is not fixed but Rayno stopped taking my calls, when I call from another line they answer with 101 excuses why they never took the call from my number and promising to be there the following day but they never show. I now can not get hold of any of them and it seems that they have taken my money and disappeared.

At the end of November I had a problem with my geyser where I was not getting any hot water. I phoned my insurance and was told that a plumber by the name of PW Plumbing would come and see me. Rayno Beyers of PW Plumbing came and I was told that my high pressure value had packed up and needed a new one. He said that a new one would cost R1400 and would in the meantime fit a 2nd hand part that he had in his bakkie so that I could get hot water until he got a new part. I gave him the money for the new part and he said he would buy it at Brights Hardware. Days later after phoning him on 0815725256 a few times he arrived with his 17 year brother who went on to the roof to replace the part. I asked him if this should not be done by him as he is a qualified plumber. He said that his brother knows what to do. He kept distracting me while his brother was on the roof. I then asked him for a receipt for the part and he said that his wife would email to me. I kept phoning his wife Charlene on 0824600952 for the receipt and she kept telling me that the lady at Brights was off sick. I then got the feeling that the part in the geyser was the same 2nd hand part that he fitted and decided to check this out. I noticed that it was the 2nd hand part that was still on my geyser. I took a photo of the part and sent it to Brights who said that it was a 2nd hand part and sent me a photo of what a new part looks like. Brights also told me that a Kwikot 400kpa part costs R1200 and not R1400. I then phoned Rayno and sent him the photos and he said that if I was not happy he would come and replace it with my R200 change and a receipt. I have many times phoned and sent him messages. Till today with all excuses you can think of he has not replaced the part. I can quite imagine how many people he has caught out with this scam.
