Huge shout out to Dr K and team for assisting my beloved African Grey after he got attacked by a husky. I raced through your doors at 6:45pm, as a first time client, but was treated with urgency and respect. Ushered straight to the vet before you even asked my name. You truly do care about our pets. Thank you, he has healed perfectly.

I have been taking my animals to Rant en Dal animal hospital since 1984. Dr De Kramer is the most incredible vet ever. He has treated and healed dogs, birds & hamsters. His knowledge is amazing. Even though we moved from the area years ago, he is the only vet I trust and we still take our dogs to him. I have friends and relatives that travel from Midrand, Craighall Park, Sandton etc when they are concerned because he is so knowledgeable. My father's dog had to have numerous operations (8) to remove clothing and cloths that she ate. It was amazing that she survived. But survive she did even after having part of her bowel removed because it was necrotic. I cannot recommend this veterinary clinic enough! They are the absolute best!!

I must say, my recent visit to this vet clinic, specifically dealing with the receptionist named Louise, was an utterly unpleasant experience. I have never felt more disrespected and unfairly treated in my life, all because of a payment issue that was completely blown out of proportion. First and foremost, let me clarify that I have never had any outstanding fees with this vet clinic in the past. We are responsible pet owners and have always settled our bills within 24 hours of receiving them. So, it came as a shock when Louise decided to make my life miserable over what seemed like a minor hiccup, She acted as if my payment was the most urgent matter in the world, despite the fact that they had all of my information on file and knew perfectly well that I had a history of prompt payments. Instead of approaching the situation with professionalism and courtesy, Louise treated me like a common ********. She seemed convinced that I was some sort of delinquent who was plotting to escape without paying. Her arrogance and condescending attitude were beyond infuriating. I felt belittled and disrespected throughout the entire interaction. It was as if she was trying to publicly shame me for something as trivial as a payment declining, Now, I do want to mention that the veterinarians at this clinic are truly amazing, and I am grateful for the care they provided to our beloved companion. However, I cannot overlook the fact that one unpleasant encounter with a receptionist *****ed my overall experience. In summary, my visit to this vet clinic was marred by the rude and unprofessional behavior of Louise the receptionist. I sincerely hope that the management addresses this issue promptly because no customer should ever be made to feel like a ******** when all they want to do is ensure the well-being of their pet. The WORST vet service - greedy drs / no care and compassion which resulted in our beloved dog dying because of Dr Kramers incompetence - not properly equipped to deal with big dogs but he wants to treat all animals due to greed -suggest to all those who have had a bad experience to file a complaint with the Vet Council of SA- I certainly will sue due to the unnecessary and inhumane way my 2 year old dog died

Our pets have been patients at the Rant en Dal Animal Hospital for close to 15 years now. During that time we have had our trials and tribulations. We have lost pets and we have had pets who recovered very well too. At first, we were a bit taken aback by the "bedside manner" of one of the two primary vets at the practice, just to find that he is perhaps too direct for some people to be comfortable with him. That being said, he is one of the most brilliant medical professionals we have ever come across and frankly, we couldn't care less about a vet being "polite" as we are only concerned with the best possible diagnosis and treatment we can possibly get for our pets as well as detailed factual understanding of the condition. The breadth of his knowledge and his skill is second to none. The other partner is just as good but just more of a people person. There have been instances where we've gone to hell and back because of a snuffles outbreak which also had a rare secondary bacterial infection. This ordeal lasted almost 8 months and during that time the vets and staff went above and beyond to help us save our cats' lives (all 8 of them). It was an expensive experience, but we have also seen firsthand what other practices charge in Krugersdorp and Fourways, Rant en Dal is most certainly quite a bit more reasonable when you look at the costs. That being said, it is a business and not a financial credit provider or a charity organization. Medical supplies and skills cost money and just because it is for an animal does not make the medical research involved any cheaper. Pharmaceuticals are pharmaceuticals and are sold by the same big pharma companies that sell human medication. Also, vets like any other medical professional are not miracle workers. We've lost pets because there are medical conditions such as renal failure or con******* heart conditions that just cannot be cured. My wife and I would like to extend our deepest thanks and gratitude in particular to DR de Cramer and DR Huberts for their support and assistance over the years. Unfortunately, we are moving and the one thing we will miss the most would be our veterinary practice and the people who work there who have become like family. Nothing has ever been too much for them so far as it comes to the well-being and treatment of our animals and we have many. They are our children, our be-all and end-all and they have been treated as such for the last 15 years by the outstanding people at this practice who we've trusted implicitly with the most important parts of our lives. Words cannot express our gratitude.

They called my husband regarding our outstanding account in the sum of R5000.00 and the manner they spoke to my husband was unacceptable. I had promised to make payment but have landed up myself in a financially strain where I am unable to make payment. They say they tried calling me regarding payment arrangement and they obviously have the wrong number. I left several messages for someone to contact me and to date that also hasn't seem to have happened.

Everyone please do not support Rant en dal animal hospital. If you love and care bout your furry babies. Please don't go there. I had a very bad experience 5 months with my beautiful 3 year old bunny. It was so bad that I had put her to sleep at a completely different vet cause of what Rant en dal vet did to her. The vet that took her case was unprofessional and incompetent towards exotic pets. And when I went in and gave the owner of the place a complaint bout this so called doctor/vet. They did not do anything about. And this so called doctor/vet was very rude to me and my mom. So I beg you all don't support them.

If you need an affordable team of highly skilled veterinary personnel, Rant en Dale clinic is the place to take your pets. Dr Krammer and his team show true care and affection toward the animals they treat each day and their attention to detail is second –to-none. The advice they give is up-to-date and honest, with upfront pricing and discounts available for repeat visits. We stopped using our local vet after 8 years, in favour of driving 1 hour to 'Rant en Dale Animal Hospital'. Their prices are on point and they do not rip you off. They are not in this for the money.
