Paid the service fee upfront with a clear explanation that there were separate rates accounts and separate utility accounts for our property. Months later we received the refund on the utilities. When querying with Wayne Tregurtha the progress on the rates account he stated he would come back to us and never did. Follow-up queries were ignored. Have to go in and sort it out myself. The sense I get is the only service they offer is to get you to fill in the forms and then submit it on your behalf - no follow-through or follow-up support. That is as far as my experience of their service went.

I have dealt with Lindsay Tregurtha from Rates Wizard on many occasions and she has been fantastic and amazing in sorting out a number of problems that our company had in relation to: 1. Resolving billing disputes; 2. Rates clearance applications and figure disputes; 3. Providing good and comprehensive advice to correct problems on accounts; I would recommend her services to anyone with a billing dispute on their municipal account. What a pleasure!

I find it extremely hard to believe they got a bad review because from the time I called to the time I got my entire refund back, both Wayne and Micaela were both on the ball, at the department and answered about 20 of my emails and calls when I had no idea how the process worked. They kept me up to date and pushed for the refund, it was such a smooth process and what a pleasure to work with such professionals. I'd recommend them 100 times over and they were extremely reasonable. Thanks both I got my money and what a fantastic team you have Wayne!

I find it extremely hard to believe they got a bad review because from the time I called to the time I got my entire refund back, both Wayne and Micaela were both on the ball, at the department and answered about 20 of my emails and calls when I had no idea how the process worked. They kept me up to date and pushed for the refund, it was such a smooth process and what a pleasure to work with such professionals. Beware of company Rates Wizzard, Lindsay Tregurtha and Corporate Metering, Marlyn Gyarmati - major scam artists I was scammed by Lindsay Tregurtha (Rates Wizzard) and her side kick Marlyn Gyarmati from fake company Corporate Metering. Apart from the money I paid them for their non-existing services (supposed to sort out shambolic COJ billing) they also withheld money my tenants paid through their Pre-paid meters (later to discover all stolen and flagged at City Of JHB) stay far away from them. Tried to make a criminal case against them, only to be told this is Civil and not criminal. Since I don’t have the finances to take this any further, all I can do is move on.

The only reason I registered a Hello Peter account is to warn other about Rates Wizard Johannesburg. Their service levels are non existent and if I was not referred to them by someone I personally know I would have thought I was scammed. Rather go somewhere else to open COJ accounts as Rates Wizard Johannesburg is absolutely terrible. My account was eventually opened after more than a month, and then it was opened with the incorrect name. I am still waiting almost 3 months on now for my statement and corrected account. Stay away! Go somewhere else and save yourself the hassle.
