I think this business closed, I ve been trying to contact them for weeks now. Ive been a client for many years and they disappeared now with my tenants deposit.

I haven't received my deposit money back since I moved out of the apartment four months ago. I have made effort to speak to the apartment owner who has confirmed that his apartment was well looked after by myself. Please make no mistake by expecting the deposit to be refunded, all what you can do is not to pay for the last month of exit so that you can stay for your deposit at the exit point. I have ended up taking the matter to the small claim court to assist me on getting my R7400.00 deposit back.

I haven't received my deposit money back since I moved out of the apartment four months ago. Rivendell property consiltants based in Centurion have withheld my rental deposit refund since 21 February 2020 .This was our deposit that was meant to be held in trust with accrual. I have sent numerous emails to the owner of the agency Garth Harper who has ignored all communication and demand for him to refund this money. I have gone as far as to go to his business premises and still he is holding our deposit without reason. I did a closing inspection with Garth Harper , to date he has not given me a finalised report if there are any outstanding charges due from me so there is no reason he has to withhold this money, he has given us nothing but a run around, I've even gone as far as sending him a letter of demand from an attorney but this brazen and unscrupulous acting business continues to hold our deposit. It is now over 4months since he has not paid back our money. Be careful of Rivendell properties they are unethical in how they act. I will not stop until I retrieve every single cent with damages and interest from them!

The guy who is (Garth) responsible of Rivendell Property is very ignorant when it comes to tenants issues, I have been struggling to get my deposit money back after moving out of the rented apartment. I moved out of the apartment on the 25th of Mar'20 before the lockdown however I can't get my deposit money refunded. I handed the keys back after making numerous calls asking them to meet up with me so that we could do the exit inspection. I have done this beginning of May 2020 but can't get my deposit back and the guy is not responding to my calls. I am now ready to take legal action.

I am writing this review with the hope of warning anyone who does business with Rivendell properties, particularly Garth Harper. I moved into a complex back in 2018, of which Garth had me pay 2 month deposit to the amount of R16,695 which I duly complied. I moved out on the 29 of February, did the final inspection and handed over the house keys to Garth on that same day. Up until today I have no received any of my deposit back and that means he’s in breach of contract because according to clause 6.4.4 of the lease, signed by myself and Rivendell properties on your behalf. The Lessee is supposed to receive the deposit within 21 business days. I contacted Garth on the 23 March at 08:48 am and he apologized for the delay and promised me that he will deposit the monies due to me on the 24th March, again on the 25th and 27th when he told me that Rivendell has a payment run everyday at 3pm, and on the 30th of March he sent me an sms apologizing again and promised that Rivendell properties will deposit the monies by the end of the afternoon, trying to buy himself time I presume because that never happened. The 21 days has now lapsed instead he is no longer picks or responds to any of my phone calls. Upon doing some research on the net (Hello Peter), I discovered that a lot of tenants have had disputes with Garth for not returning any of the deposit. Even the lady that stayed in the unit also had issues when coming to getting her deposit back from Garth. I have paid my rent regularly during my stay at the unit and believe that I deserve better treatment than I’m getting at the moment.

The company has the worst customer service. An application for a rental was logged with this agency. After numerous calls and trying to communicate with the agent involved, which was one of the senior consultants, we gave up calling and requesting feedback. You can expect this type of service if you do business with this company. Take this as a friendly warning not to engage with this company and agents.

I have rented from Rivendell property in centurion agent ( Eric and Grath), The unit was not painted and given to me unit was not maintained, I had to the maintenance on my own cost, I now moved out and I have done the following 1. painted the unit ( have pictures) 2. Cleaned the property 3. never claimed for damages that the dampness caused to my belongings and health. 4. had the keys in before time. it is over a month till date deposit is not paid into my account, I keep getting calls that the owner has not responded to my request for deposit. I now am engaging with my legal advisory on how to take action legally. Advise DO NOT use Rivendell property in centurion for rentals. they will extort you for your deposit and demand cost for repainting even thought it was completed.
