Hi. I had a sad and embarrassing experience at the Rooftop Cafe on Oxford Road in Rosebank. We had booked a high tea for a Bridal Shower and were given a quote for the food and drinks etc that would be served. Some of my guests has not arrived and there were eats left over. We were told by the staff that the We were not allowed to take the extra food home , food that we had paid for. He said that it was the policy of the establishment. This clause was not included in the terms and conditions. In any event ,we had paid for everything that we had booked for. I spoke to the manager and he said that all of the food that was left would be given to the staff and cleaners. It made no sense to me. Why could I not take it ? After a discussion which made little sense, the manager agreed that we could take away the food that we had paid for.Very unpleasant and very embarrassing. An event that was meant to be beautiful turned ugly.

Superb is an understatement of the service and food at the Rooftop Cafe. Management and staff made my daughter’s wedding a memorable evening never to be forgotten. Thank you Bornwell and your colleagues. Keep up the outstanding service and organizing of the wedding. 10 ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I booked an event for 40 people with the Rooftop Cafe. I paid the deposit on 22 December 2019 and had to, unfortunately, cancel the event on 26 December 2019. My cancellation was just a few days after paying the deposit. After several messages and emails to the manager, who deliberately ignores or avoids my messages, and is completely unresponsive to most of my messages. It is now 41 days after my request for cancellation and I have still not received a refund of my deposit. Is is quite soul destroying as it seems that the Rooftop Cafe is only in favor of financial gain and not completely ignores the needs of clients. If this complaint is on Social Media it will go viral and woul potentially be damaging to the business of the Rooftop Cafe.
