Ongoing Poor Communication and Lack of Student Support
I am extremely disappointed with SAAA’s communication, particularly as this is not the first time I have experienced issues with this institution. I have previously raised concerns regarding poor communication, and unfortunately, I am once again facing the same problem. On this occasion, I have simply requested proof of registration, yet despite follow-ups, I am still waiting to receive it. The lack of response and delayed communication are unacceptable for a student-focused institution and have caused unnecessary frustration and delays on my side. Consistent poor communication reflects a serious lack of professionalism and support for students. I expected far better service, especially given that these issues have been raised before, and I hope this matter is addressed urgently.

Bad school
Delayed textbooks extended 1 year course by 6 months. Also delaying graduation with 4 months and counting. No idea why, very poor feedback. String of emails, just apologies and no results. Even blaming SAICA at this point.

Many students, myself included, have had to rely on the WhatsApp group to learn what’s happening. Some haven’t received textbooks, others have completed onboarding, while some still lack access to the SAAA portal. I received my textbooks well after the course began and was expected to catch up on a week’s work in one day. When following up about a lesson scheduled at a time when most people commute home, I was told it was still being “edited.” As a film editor, I know adding a simple title card does not take long. This delay means students fall a week behind. Lecturers emphasize staying ahead, yet they are causing delays. The only consistent support has been Diren, who resolves issues quickly and keeps students at ease.

I’ve been trying to get in contact because classes are starting next week, yet I haven’t received a call from Pinkie. I’ve also emailed Sandile several times without any response. I’ve already paid the full required amount, so the lack of communication is really concerning and makes me feel uncertain about the situation. I had very high expectations and trusted your academy, which is why this has been disappointing. At the moment, I’m not even sure if I would feel comfortable referring someone else. Please could someone urgently get back to me and clarify what’s happening.
