Our cars have been serviced by Sabre Motors for many years. They have also gone above and beyond by coming out to me when I was stuck. Once when my gear linkage was broken and I could not move the car, and then again this morning... coming out to jump my car since I had a dead battery. Fortunately I was not too far away from their workshop both times, which probably helped. The staff has always been friendly and very helpful.

Took my car for service. Asked them not to replace air and oil filters as these were replaced in mid May this year. They went ahead and replaced these and did not even show me the parts taken out. After an argument with the receptionist, it is clear that I was ripped off. I was charged for parts that were replaced a mere 3 months ago. So I will not be taking my car there ever again.

I was so impressed with the service at Sabre Motors today, being such a busy period and suppliers being closed. Sabre was the only shop that was willing to help me with changing brakes on my Isuzu, which isn't straight forward. I would recommend them to anyone! They definitely know how to look after their clients

I am not someone to write reviews but I think I have to write to help someone else who can also be a victim. My truck Kia broke engine and I took to this garage and they opened the engine. Broke pistons and could not be fixed than buying an engine for them to fit in. I agreed on that because I had no choice. Now the engine they said they have a supplier where they can buy engine, those engines are imports and are not used more than 100000 kms and are 3ltr than mine which was 2700. Well engine ran only 100000kms that is good news and that lady who is in front reception explained that where they import these engines from there is a regulation that their cars can't keep engines for more than 100000kms and I fell for that story. They quoted me above R38,000.00 and I paid them deposit. When they have bought the engine and ready to install I went there to see the engine and that was the dirtiest engine I have ever seen with oil like mad. I thought maybe its just my eyes but I was trouble in my heart. Engine installed fetched the car (they kept insisting that the engine is less 100000kms) drove it and was creating dark cloud of smoke. Checking water there was rust yellow dirty water showing that the engine was very old. When taking the car back to them the owner of this garage was telling me all the lies and nonses stories, even today I am stuck with that engine spending money trying to get it right. IF YOU THINK DOING BUSINESS WITH THIS GARAGE, THINK AGAIN. And I was their regular customer fixing all my cars there, but when I was bringing them big job, they only thought for their pockets at my expense.

Hi there,

I took my opel corsa for a major service to this provider. On top of this service, various other items were identified for fixing. My car was worth about R55K at the time, and the service quote came to around R14K. My thinking was, let me fix all these items, and I do not have to worry about it for a long time.

This turned out to be a huge mistake. They installed multiple items incorrectly, one of which was the rear brakes, which caused massive shuddering, which after a year they could/did not want to fix. They accepted the car everytime to look at the issue, but the car always came back unfixed, with less petrol and more mileage.

After a year, i resolved the issue by taking it to another mechanic, and it was fixed on the first attempt. I would avoid this provider at all costs.

Leon

My 2008 Kia's rear gearbox oil seal gave in sent car to Sabre Motors who requested part from Kia they gave incorrect part on 2 ocassions. Parts Manager from Kia Northcliff met with their technical dept and informed Sabre Motors that they cannot supply the seal alone would have to purchase the oil pump and seal. Beryl went to various seal places with the sample could not find. She then surfed the Internet and came across a company called Seals Galore and spoke to a wonderful gentleman by the name of Louis. Louis supplied the seal Sabre Motors collect same put in vehicle everything 100% and they saved me R5000.00. Every day I received a phone call from Beryl informing me what is happening. My car has never run so smoothly I highly recommend Sabre Motors tel 0117922154. THANKYOU SO MUCH BERYL LAWRENCE AND TEAM YOU ARE THE BEST and will only come to you from now on KIA SHOULD CLOSE SHOP
