There claims department and there engineers that do work for them ,try very hard in finding fault in farm claims where building are created and named by the farmer and not municipality.

15 Dec 2025, 19:44please note that Ombud 90% of the time side with the companies , no to easy to defend the small people.
especially if you are getting information from 3rd party engineers and Assessors that you employ ,It may be different if you allowed the insured to choose there own engineers .you excluded what is called room 1 and room 2 on your engineers diagram as it was bottle store ,store and office space which is also part of that same building , in fact my CLAIM FORM only mentioned building NOT WORKSHOP ONLY , also there are no dedicated buildings SO THE WHOLE Property cover should be taken into consideration as some building are over and some under insured. The Fact that i do the naming convention is irelevent to what its called , maybe you will appreciate if i called my buildings Santa 1 , Santa 2 and so on. Hope you have a very merry Xmas and a prosperous new year .

with your engineers that are making things up as they go along , because they have indicated that there were other rooms that were damaged , room 1 room 2 on his diagram that he hasnt bothered to find out what that was ,if he had , then he would have been told ,office,shop , bottle store and i would only have been less underinsured as you claim. The fair thing was to allow me to redo my claim as per your engineers report to include those rooms in my claim.

from know on my buildings are going to be named as Santa 1 , Santa 2 and so on for any further claims
sounds silly , but buidings on a farm uses change at any time.

22 Dec 2025, 16:34finally , i have paid the correct amount for my whole property to be insured , adjusting cover within the property will still end up to being the same premium , so Safire has not lost on the premuim amount.
