Sakhumzi Restaurant- buffet ****
Really horrible service. As long as you’re not a tourist, you’re not a priority. The full buffet service is reserved for tourists. Manager (Mbali) does not prioritise customers and is quite rude when met with a query. We try to support black businesses but the service her was appalling.

Sakhumzi Restaurant food poisoning
I would like to share my not so nice experience with the food at the Sakhumzi restaurant, which I visited on the 25th of April 2025. I in fact suffered food poisoning together with another three colleagues who were having lunch with me. While the service was good, and although we had different things on our menu the result was a nasty food poisoning with all four of us. My colleague Silver, L. had already written his review but I felt like I should also report the similar if not the same experience he an the other two had. The point is not to just complin but also to bring this to attention of the management of the Sakhumzi restaurant in order for them to be more careful with the food served to their patrons. There is also an issue with the Menu which doesn't specify upfront of the flat rate buffet type of serving, there was not menu as such but, rather a vague situation whereby some of the colleagues hadn't understood that they would have to pay a flat rate (value of which is not insignificant). I do hope that the reviews of ours would help the management improve the food and operations quality.

Food poisoning or contaminated food.
My staff and myself attended sakhumzi restaurant on 25th April 2025. The waiter that attended to us was very professional. The food menu however was not explained properly to us for starters. To top things off all 4 of us that had of the variety of different food dishes ended up with food poisoning since Friday night leading into Saturday evening right up to Sunday. My staff members verified the exact same experience too. I have not felt that sick with a runny tummy in ages. It scares me to think if other patrons did not experience the same as we did. I am totally disappointed 😞

Indulging in variety of foods gives you a sense of belonging and warmth, that you walk down memory lane in your mind of when last? Or remember the time even better wanting to know how or what goes into something, that it becomes so good. Food brings us together followed with good conversations that we carry on to our children and generations to come.

Bad service
Went to Sakhumzi Restaurant on Sunday 9/4/2023...theservice was poor...waiter was not helpful...when we received our food it was cold n distasteful...when we send the food back just to be warmed in the microwave...the wors came back hard as stone...we tried to speak to the manager and he was not helpful

Awesome kasi restaurant with style
I have celebrated and showered my partner with love this Valentine's Day At sakhumzi restaurant. To Show them how much i Love and care with extra special cuisine food that looks classy in a kasi, my husband enjoyed everything the vibe,music and good company... I would recommend to everyone to come see & be seen
