DISGUSTING LOW GI BREAD! We bought some yesterday 11 Feb from PicknPay. I returned it today 12 Feb. Maybe cleaning chemicals and a sour taste. HORRIBLE! Do not bake such bread and sell it to the people of South Africa.

I had a loaf of Sasko White Bread which was purchased on Friday the 12th of December 2025, with an expiry date for the 18th of December 2025. By the morning of the 16th of December, the bread had already turned white and as this a public holiday, I opted to Call Pepsico/Pioneer Foods the following day which was the 17th of December. I spoke to one of the Customer Service consultants and provided all the information that she requested and sent pictures as proof to the Pioneer Foods Whatsapp number as well with a reference no: of P00001-2512170071. I had also advised the consultant that I did not have the proof of purchase as in this day and age, not many people keep receipts for small items and I generally don't think much of it. I was thereafter advised via Whatsapp and email that I need to have the receipt as proof so that the company can move forward with the investigation. I advised that I informed the consultant that I do not have this and I was the told to obtain a copy from the shop where the purchase was made. So, to add to my loss where I had Bread that I couldn't consume because it expired before the best before date, I was then indirectly told to drive to the store using my petrol and obtain a copy of the receipt, all so that PepsiCo/Pioneer Foods could believe that I had not ****** the bread which was in my possession. This is how I felt as the customer. This is a new low for such a big company as up until today the 29th of Dec, December, I have not been contacted by PepsiCo to advise the outcome of their investigation, as if the pictures were not enough because I was also forced to get a copy of the receipt and send it through.

I bought a bread from usave at Matatshe BB 14/07/2025 when I got home after my husband ate the bread I realised that the bread already expired with even bread mold on it. I returned the bread to the shop but my question is are we safe?

I am extremely disappointed with both the quality of Sasko bread and the poor level of customer service received. We purchased 2 loaves of bread daily that was hard and clearly not fresh—something completely unacceptable from a trusted brand like Sasko. We immediately lodged a complaint, only to receive a response two weeks later. By then, the bread had obviously been discarded as it’s unrealistic to keep spoiled food for that long. When the agent finally responded, he insisted on proof—something that would’ve been possible had he responded timeously. Now he makes it seem like it’s our fault for not having proof, completely ignoring the fact that the delay was on Sasko’s side. To make matters worse, follow-up emails have since been ignored. This kind of dismissive and unprofessional handling of a legitimate consumer complaint is deeply frustrating. We expected better from a brand that claims to value quality and customer care.

⭐☆☆☆☆ Very disappointing service from Sasko Olifantsfontein deliveries I am extremely disappointed with the ongoing unprofessional behavior of Sasko’s delivery team, particularly Tshepo and the driver of vehicle KD 68 KR GP. Deliveries to my shop at 199 Dalinjebo Street, Gqagqa, have been stressful and unpleasant on multiple occasions. On 24 May 2025, they arrived late without communication and were openly disrespectful to my staff, raising their voices and complaining that they were in a rush. This kind of behavior is completely unacceptable. I even had to buy bread from another Sasko branch just to keep my customers happy. What’s worse is that on the morning of 26 May 2025, the same team drove past our shop laughing, which felt deliberately disrespectful after the issues we raised. I’ve also previously been threatened with discontinued deliveries, which is unacceptable coming from a supplier of Sasko’s reputation. I hope Sasko management takes this seriously and addresses the problem. Customers deserve better.
