I called the Copesville Family Clinic at 8:00am to enquire about the doctor’s availability and was told he would arrive around 9:30am. Since my family member needed urgent care, we proceeded to our local hospital instead. Later, at around 10:30am, I contacted the clinic again to book an appointment and was informed that the doctor would be arriving at 11:00am. We then left the hospital and went to the Copesville Family Clinic. After completing the paperwork and making payment, the receptionist informed me that the doctor’s car had broken down on the highway. He was waiting for a tow truck and needed to return to Scottsville to fetch his personal vehicle. I asked if a replacement doctor was available, but after contacting the manager, the receptionist confirmed that there wasn’t one. At 5:00pm, I received a call from the clinic informing me that a doctor was finally available. This entire experience was extremely disappointing, especially after paying R400. Although I was eventually refunded, I will never return to this facility nor recommend it to anyone. For a private clinic, the service was unacceptable. My experience is with the Copesville branch. Worst experience ever. I vowed to myself that I'll never go back there again and haven't been there in over a year, and i stay in Scottsville, imagine! I go to Hayfields now. The doctors are the worst, no customer service, and they sure do know how to make a person feel small. To top it all off, they give the lowest quality medication.

I was ill experiencing the usual flu symptoms of a sore through, headache, sneezing, painful and tired as well as a runny tummy. Since it was a Sunday and I needed medical attention I went to the Scotsville Family Clinic as it was amongst the few places that were open and my doctor that I usually go to was closed. I consult diagnosis was early tonsillitis and I was prescribed with phenorant codeine cough syrup, still pain tablets, lagatrim tablets and indomethacin.Altogether amounted to R420. I was disappointed only to find out that the total cost of the medication given to me doesn't amount to even R50 and that it is not even the best quality of medication. It was truly an unsatisfactory experience as I still need to get flu shots elsewhere to speed up my recovery.
