They are just horrible. All they want to do is make money. Zero customer service. They have a WhatsApp number that no one ever attends to. Very limited features for a business that has been running for more than 4 years. I complained about Google analytics 3 days ago and just realized someone did same here about a year ago. But they are so proud to say leave a heart and we'll attend to it. Their live chat is always on but you can wait all day for a response. They are off weekends so if you are having a sales on a weekend and you have a glitch, you are doomed. DO NOT USE SHOPSTAR.

Initially, Shopstar seemed like an affordable option with its pricing at R220 for 25 products. Seemed great, right? Well, that initial impression quickly soured when they deducted the payment from my account twice in a single month. This happened because I started my shop on the 25th, and they charged me again on the 1st of the following month. To make matters worse, the customer service was far from satisfactory. It's frustrating when you encounter issues, and the support team isn't responsive or helpful. Additionally, the majority of viewers for your store will be mobile users, which would be fine if the mobile integration from the website builder was decent. However, viewing your online "store" on a mobile device makes it look unappealing and unprofessional. Considering the monthly fee of R220 for this service, one would expect a more functional and user-friendly system. Unfortunately, Shopstar falls short in both affordability and ease of use. It's not worth the money or the hassle.

Before you pay read this: As a website developer I did some research into Shopstar. It's a new website-E-commerce builder with minimal features but enough to get you through the door. I looked at their pricing structure for the lowest package R220pm you get 20max products. + They take 1.7% of all transactions (Above the transaction fee's that your payment gateway takes. Meaning you pay double) if your site Gross an average of 20-40k pm you will pay an extra R340-680pm. Making your total between R560-900pm while being limited to 20 Products Max(Unless you take the expensive package). I would highly recommend the Wix-E-commerce package instead not only will you pay less but you will have access to 4 free newsletter pm and various other tools with no product cap(you can sell as many products as you want for as little as: R448pm) At face value, Shopstar seems cheaper but it's only after you pay that you realize you will end up paying double or even triple the amount. (If Wix isn't your forte try Shopify it's also a better alternative)

Shopstar as dropshipping portal is amazing, with all the features, and you can run your shop on auto pilot, they will take care of all payments etc. The shopstar payment portal is excellent and responsive no lagging. really lots of local products. now the google issue ( your account is suspended ) The problem clearly lies with google as you will not encounter this problem with the facebook product feed ( google t&c's no third party selling could be the problem, ( their algorithm probely pics dropshipping up as third party selling. you also speak to bots with no real fix from google, I make use of facebook ads to drive traffic and it works very well and is cost effective. The google route i will recomend if your sell your own products.

So I gave this ecommerce website another chance and what a waste of time. Started a new store with products from their so called suppliers. Managed to setup up my free ads and google analytics account correctly and guess what my products rejected again as a misrepresentation? Of what I ask. This company's support is bad from their support to their ads marketing department, they just seem to be wanting to make a fast buck out of a person. Not willing to go the extra mile for a client. Their suppliers stock still stays on 1,2 and even 0,how must you add that to your store? I am going to report this business to the authorities. I am of the opinion that this company is a total scam, if you want to do dropshipping there are other sites that can assisst. Personally I would not touch this company again, they dont even have reptesentation on this site and that says a lot.

Very bad service received from this so called company offering you a drop shipping service. I cannot get linked to google merchant center after multiple tries even, followed their literature and videos a thousand times. products still rejecting. They are not even willing to assist in setting up the Google feeds. Their so called support emails are unprofessional. I am of the opinion that they only want to make money after the 14 day trial period and don't really care if you as a client succeed or not, they just want your money. Stay away from this so called business. I am very disappointed with this company. There are suppliers on their marketplace that you can use to obtain products to sell that don't even have products to offer in their stores. Some suppliers have products but lots of the products are indicating in total as 0? Shopstar must rather close their doors there are far better companies offering drop shipping is SA. They will have to go a long way to regain my trust.
