Misdiagnosis & false report

This company is not to be trusted.

They have sent out an assessor (CAT Electronics) to determine why our CCTV DVR does not record. Discovery Insure was told the hard drive is broken and they therefor rejected the claim. We believed them and ordered a brand new hard drive. It did not work. We ordered a second new hard drive that also didn’t work. It became evident that something else was wrong.

We decided to purchase a brand new DVR and hard drive but the same Provision model. I tested the new power supply in the older machine and it worked perfectly.

A lot of money was wasted. They were supposed to properly test the system. A new power supply sells for only R132.

Further testing revealed that the hard drive only received a bit more than 6 volts and not the required 12v. This is why it did not record.

Do NOT trust these people!
